BUCC, Batala, as one of the foremost co-educational colleges in Punjab, India. The college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different disciplines. The process of admission is conducted by BUCC and shortlisted candidates for 17 courses across 9 degree programs. The admission cycle of BUCC follows the academic calendar of Punjab universities; it usually stretches from May to June for an academic year beginning in July-August. Almost all programs have merit-based admissions where applicants are considered based on marks secured in the qualifying examinations.
The minimum eligibility criteria for the undergraduate programs require the 10+2 examination to be passed from any recognized board. In addition to this, various courses may specify particular subjects. For example, applicants to the B.Sc programs may be required to have studied Science subjects at the 10+2 level. Application Process
Baring Union Christian College Batala follows a simple admission process usually composed of the following steps:

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.A.: B.A. at BUCC is an all-encompassing program aimed at providing liberal education. Admission depends on marks in the 10+2 examination. Students can apply if they have passed their 10+2 from any recognized board.
B.Com.: A candidate equivalent to the B.Com Examination is for the Bachelor of Commerce program if they have obtained at least a passing mark of 50% in their 10+2 examination from any recognized board. Admission is based on the merit list prepared according to the marks secured in the qualifying examination.
B.Sc.: The B.Sc. programs offered at BUCC include Medical, Non-Medical, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Economics. For B.Sc. Medical and Non-Medical admission, students must take Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics in their 10+2. Usually, Mathematics becomes important for admission into Computer Science and IT programs.
BCA: The Bachelor of Computer Applications is open to students who have completed their 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject. Admissions are made according to merit in the qualifying examination.
M.A.: BUCC offers M.A. programs in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. The eligibility criteria for admission to these disciplines include a bachelor's degree in the subject concerned or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
M.Sc.: For the M.Sc. program in Computer Science and IT, the candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in the corresponding discipline or an equivalent degree with the required percentage of marks as per university norms.
M.Com.: Entry into the Master of Commerce program is contingent on holding a B.Com. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
PGDCA: The Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications is open to all graduate applicants from any discipline. Admission is based on the merit of the qualifying examination.
Curriculum is not very updated. More focus is on theory subjects than the practical part. They follow old syllabus. Teachers are experienced and have good expertise they connect the topics with real life examples which helps to catch quicker
