Barnagar College, Barpeta, is a premier, co-educational institute in Sorbhog, Assam. The admission process of Barnagar College is very clear and simple. But the final selection is based on merit. Degree wise Admission Process

BA: Barnagar College provides BA courses, including 400 seats in its excellence intake. Admission will be on merit only based on the marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination. The college provides different honors courses in Assamese, Economics, Education, English, History, Philosophy, and Political Science.

B.Sc: 250 seats are available in the B.Sc program. The admission is based on merit, considering the marks obtained in the 10+2 science stream. Honors courses exist in Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Botany.

B.Com: Admission for the B.Com program is also based on merit. It has an intake of 150 seats. Students are selected on the basis of their academic performance in the 10+2 commerce stream or equivalent.

M.A.: The college offers M.A. courses in Political Science, Assamese, and History, with each course having an enrollment of 20 students. Admission to these postgraduate courses completely depends on merit as compared to the results of the undergraduate degree of the candidates.

B.Voc: Barnagar College also offers vocational courses like B.Voc in Computer Application and B.Voc in Tourism and Travel Management. Admission into such courses is also considered on merit and relevance of the previous studies of the applicant.
