Barpeta BT College, Barpeta Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Barpeta BT College, is a co-educational college situated in Barpeta, Assam. The college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and conducts undergraduate and teacher education courses.

The process of admission at Barpeta BT College is different for different programs. Admissions in most courses are on merit basis considering the marks scored in the qualifying test. But for certain courses such as B.Ed, the college has a different admission process.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA Programs:
BA programs are offered by Barpeta BT College with an overall intake capacity of 120 seats. These include general BA and honours courses in Education, Assamese, and Political Science. The admissions in BA programs are generally merit-based, keeping in view the marks scored in the qualifying 10+2 exam.

B.Ed Program:
The B.Ed course of Barpeta BT College has a total of 100 seats. Admission to the B.Ed course is done based on an entrance test conducted by Gauhati University. The entrance test is generally taken in June or July of each year. Students who pass the entrance test are eligible for admission to the B.Ed course.

D.El.Ed Program
The D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course has an intake of 50 seats. The policy of admission for D.El.Ed is as directed by the state government or UT administration, approved and implemented by the admission committee. It generally entails merit-based selection on the basis of qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination.

BA Education (Hons):
The college provides BA Education (Hons) with 30 seats. Although particular admission information is not given, it is probably that admission is merit-based in the qualifying test, just like other BA courses.
