BCARE Institute of Management and Technology was established in the year 2011. It is an affiliated college in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Its campus is spread over 8.2 acres and has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The institute imparts technical education, offering four diploma courses in the engineering field. The student enrollment of the institute is 262. it has a faculty strength of 29 members. The BCARE has a strong commitment to quality education, with properly equipped facilities and a range of courses to fulfil the needs of students seeking careers in most branches of engineering.

Available are various facilities to enhance the academic and personal growth of the students. The Central Library is well-stocked with over 7,000 volumes of technical texts and reference books, besides more than 400 titles and 100 national and international journals. BCARE Institute of Management and Technology has separate hostels for boys and girls, offering a comfortable living environment to the outstation students. There is also a well-maintained medical room in the campus for first-aid and emergency treatment, headed by a qualified doctor. Sports facilities, swimming pool, and gym are provided at the institute for recreation and physical fitness. The IT infrastructure includes a central computing facility with facilities for LAN and internet access, which keeps the students and the faculty updated about the latest developments happening in their fields of study. Other facilities include transportation facilities with two 52-seater buses to make commuting easier for students.

 BCARE Institute of Management and Technology offers four full-time diploma courses in engineering. These programmes in the institute aim to provide students with a strong base in the respective fields of study. The intake capacity, put together, runs into 210 seats.                                                                                         

BCARE Institute of Management and Technology's admission process is done on the basis of basically two entrance examinations. For admission in the first year directly, students have to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics West Bengal (JEXPO) conducted by WBSCTVESD (West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development). For lateral admission to the second year, applicants can apply through the Vocational Lateral Entry Test, which is also held under the vigilance of WBSCTVESD. These aptitude tests provide the format for a fair and competitive selection of aspiring students.
