The basis of Admission to BCET is mainly the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The College has a systematic admission process wherein 85% of total seats are filled through State level counselling conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University. It is 50% for Uttarakhand residents, 35% for All India candidates. The remaining 15% of the seats come under the management quota for which the institute organizes its own counseling based on JEE ranks.
