One of the well-known Engineering Colleges in this part of the country is Beehive College of Engineering and Technology, Dehradun. The affiliated college was started in the 2002 and situated in Selaqui, Dehradun. The campus area is 25 acres. BCET is approved by AICTE and offers various engineering programs. The College has a total enrolment of 130 and a faculty strength of 33. 

The institution offers a number of facilities to the students of BCET, making it possible to provide varied learning experiences. There are separate boys and girls hostels in the College. It is the 'living and learn' concept, which serves as the development base for both personal and professional growth. A well-equipped health center provides first-aid facilities, and the Beehive Ayurvedic Hospital has a wing located on campus to meet all the medical needs of the students. The advanced gymnasium serves the fitness enthusiasts. The library, functioning as a knowledge hub in the college, is well filled with more than 20,000 books, periodicals, and digital resources. Facilities for sports related to various games help develop the habit of maintaining a good balance between work and life. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and air-conditioned computer labs house more than 600 computers. Added to this is a cafeteria, an auditorium, and a very well-equipped laboratory for practical exposure.

BCET offers five B.Tech Programs viz, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The academic rigor of the institution is further supported by its commitment to quality education with the aid of modern facilities and industry-oriented curriculum. BCET offers a total of five B.Tech full-time regular programs with a total approved intake of 183. 

The basis of Admission to BCET is mainly the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The College has a systematic admission process wherein 85% of total seats are filled through State level counselling conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University. It is 50% for Uttarakhand residents, 35% for All India candidates. The remaining 15% of the seats come under the management quota for which the institute organizes its own counseling based on JEE ranks.
