About Berchmans Institute of Management Studies, Changanacherry
Berchmans Institute of Management Studies (BIMS) was established in the year of 1995 is an autonomous self financed institution located at Changanacherry in Kerala State. This AICTE approved institute offers a comprehensive MBA programme with a promise that successfully trains the students and prepares them for professional world. The school has a strong teaching staff where the BIMS faculty has 18 members, all are dedicated teachers and the student gender distribution very nearly equal, with just slightly more male students than female. Students from all over the world attend the institute; the students total up to two hundred and thirty six are all postgraduate students, therefore the institute culture does provide specialised learning.
Berchmans Institute of Management Studies infrastructure and amenities are remarkable with a mini university to ensure comprehensive learning activities for the students’ all rounded development. This is a modern computerised multi-storied library which contains vast numbers of books, both Indian and international management on all disciples available to support the students. Thus, computerised/ I.T facilities of BIMS have a central computer – aided creation of computer lab through ninety – node Network with the internet connection and other requisite software such as EBSCO/PROWESS/ Statistical packages. Facilities available in the campus are well furnished and stocked classes, two separate hostels for boys and girls, and a canteen which provides hygienic and economic meals. In sports facilities extracurricular activities are catered to by basketball, volleyball, and football grounds that are provided to the national standard.
BIMS offers a full time MBA with an approved intake capacity of 120 students. This is a two years post graduate course which is intended to prepare the student for the complexities of business management. The curriculum of the programme is changed constantly in order to meet the needs of the present day world of business for the students of the programme.
Admission in Bachelor of Science in marine science and technology at BIMS is a comprehensive and competitive process. Students seeking admission to the institute are assessed according to the national level test like CAT, CMAT, MAT or KMAT Kerala. The selection process also contains the group discussion and interview, by which the institute in question can evaluate candidates’ potential. BIMS Changanacherry MBA Admission Process:
Complete the application form for the MBA programme with all personal and academic details of the applicants.
Based on the scores of applicants in CAT/ KMAT Kerala/ CMAT, students are shortlisted.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the official website, and an email will be sent to their registered email ID with the schedule for the Group Discussion and Interview.
The list of selected candidates will be available on the official website of BIMS and an allotment letter will be received in the registered email ID.
It is important for the selected candidates to appear at the institute on the dates and at the scheduled time for admission and if there is anything that the institute requires the candidates to complete, they should do it.
Candidates who fail to report for admission on the said date and time will not be entertained for admission to BIMS Changanacherry.
