Bharati College BIIT was established in the year 1997, at Durg's Pulgaon Chowk, as an affiliated college. The institute is affiliated with a campus of 6 acres at Durg in the Chhattisgarh and approved by NCTE. It offers a wide range of 10 courses in 8 different degrees catering to varied academic interests. It has a total enrolment of students of 470 and a faculty strength of 35, whereby the ratio of students to teachers stands at quite a satisfactory level for the college. Courses in both traditional and modern curricula are available which includes B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.Com, and PGDCA, to name a few.

This college has appreciable IT infrastructure with 7 computer laboratories that have more than 500 computers having high-speed internet connectivity. The campus itself houses medical facilities with a medical centre, equipped with all types of medicines and a qualified doctor. In addition, the college has a 100-bed hospital nearby for emergency purposes.
