Birla School of Law is one of the affiliated Birla Global University, a new generation university which located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This male and female joint venture provides a combination of legal and management studies, in view of the dynamic legal environment. The school is Bar Council of India approved and is dedicated to ensuring provision of quality legal education. The faculty of Birla Institute of Technology and Science comprises of 13 members to provide individual care to each of its students. The institute offers two degree programmes: 5 year integrated BBA LLB (Hons) and Ph.D. in law programmes which focus on ground level preparation and research perspective for the fresher’s and the scholars respectively.

The campus contains adequate infrastructure amenities which are suited to improve the learning environments. Birla School of Law offers two distinct courses: BBA LLB (Hons) Programme and Ph.D in Law Programme. The BBA LLB (Hons) programme is a five year full time programme with an intake of candidates is 60 The Ph.D. in Law programme is full time research programme of six year duration and the intake of candidates is 6. Both courses offer a balanced legal education; however, BBA LLB programme also introduces a managerial view. The link between management and law is a plus when it comes to studying this programme since it leads to various career aspects in corporate law consultancy and being an entrepreneur.

Admission requirement of Birla School of Law is quite competitive and the admission is given strictly based on merit. For BBA LLB (Hons) the institute accepts score of CLAT, AILET and LSAT India exam which are conducted at National level for admission in the law stream. Furthermore, the university also offers a separate entrance test, the BGU Entrance test through which students can enroll themselves. According to UGC norms for admission to Ph.D., the selection process of research scholars in the Ph.D. programme is highly competitive.
