Birsha Munda Memorial College is one of the affiliated colleges in the Bankura district of West Bengal, India. The admission procedure at Birsha Munda Memorial College is intended to be fairly easy and accessible to any aspiring students who wish to join it. Usually, the admission procedure would start in July and August for the academic year ahead. In order to be considered for admission into Birsha Munda Memorial College, candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) level of education from a recognized board. The college offers courses in four undergraduate programs, all of which are classified under the Honorary Degree of BA and these include various streams. Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. (Bachelor of Arts): The college gives admission to Bachelor of Arts programs, which has a total of 481 seats. These include both general and honors courses. Admission to B.A. is done according to the candidate's score in the 10+2 examination. Students are expected to choose either the general course or any available honors subject.
B.A. Bengali Honors: 42 seats have been allotted for the B.A. Bengali Honors courses. The admission into this course is more or less determined by the marks obtained in Bengali and performance in the overall 10+2 examination. A good knowledge of Bengali language and literature will be advantageous for these applicants.
B.A. History Honors: With an intake of 42, the programs under B.A. History Honors offer admission from consideration of the marks obtained in History (if studied at 10+2 level) and, on the whole, the performance in the 10+2 examination. The program is best suited to those who have a desire to study critically the events of history with a thorough-going approach.
B.A. Santali Honors: The college has around 35 seats available under the B.A. Santali Honors. This wonderful program specializes in the Santali language and culture, and says that admission may be granted to this course on the basis of probable consideration in the Santali language and literature.
