Every Engineering company looks to hire some fantastic piece of brains, they want to ensure every candidate they hire should be a good. Good at aptitude, Good at Logic, Good at Communication (differs between company to company).

The most commonly followed procedure for on campus placements is as follows:

• Sorting based on GPA/percentage, used as an eligibility criteria.
• Written round which involves Aptitude, English, Technical questions, GK. Not all the companies will seek all of the subjects mentioned above.
• GD
• Technical interview
• Personal/HR interview.

Now, there are a lot of variables in the selection of the rounds. It depends on the company & the no. of students appearing for the placements. The final selection process may or may not involve all the rounds mentioned above. Since everyone is a fresher, the companies don't expect you to perform out of the box but make sure your basic concepts are clear and you are good at problem solving.
