Ever since its inception, CDS Thiruvananthapuram has accorded high priority to building up a good library in social sciences. CDS Thiruvananthapuram Library is now one of the leading social science research and reference libraries in the country with a rich collection of books, journals, publications of other research institutes (national and international), and government publications. CDS Thiruvananthapuram library collection has over one hundred and fifty thousand titles covering development studies, economics, sociology, demography, statistics, history, political science, and other allied subjects. It subscribes to 230 journals currently. In addition, it receives about 120 journals by way of gifts or exchanges. CDS Thiruvananthapuram Library maintains an exchange programme of publications with several national and international organisations.

CDS Thiruvananthapuram computer lab houses 15 PCs with Windows 10 / Windows 8.1 and other essential software including statistical packages like STATA and E-Views. CDS Thiruvananthapuram lab has been used for computer-based training programmes and workshops regularly.

CDS Thiruvananthapuram Auditorium which is used for seminars, conferences, and public lectures and events is equipped with all the latest equipment and facilities for making presentations and conducting public gatherings.
