Chanakya Law College at Rudrapur was established in the year 2004. The college is a premier institution of legal education under the state of Uttarakhand, India. Chanakya Law College is affiliated and recognized by Bar Council of India. The college has streamlined the career of many aspiring lawyers in almost two decades. The college is based on a 0.5-acre compact campus as focused on providing learning environments for 692 enrolled students. With a teaching faculty strength of 16 devoted educationists, the Chanakya Law College provides for personal attention and quality education. The institute caters to four specific law programmes that are tailor-made for the satisfaction of specialized skill sets in the legal profession.

Chanakya Law College has some modern facilities available and makes sure that their student fraternity has a rich learning experience. These are well-conditioned classrooms that have made the atmosphere comfortable enough to be favorable for learning, a resourceful library, with over 12,000 volumes of books in areas of humanities, business administration, and law, and a wide range of reference materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, and legal magazines. The moot court facility in the college provides the students with very useful practical exposure in the sense that it is designed to give students a flavor of an actual courtroom. The college premises are made enriched with an auditorium and sports facilities to initiate co-curricular activities and programmes. The hostel facility consists of boys' and girls' hostels, thus making it the most secure and comfortable experience for staying for students coming from outside the town.

Chanakya Law College teaches various law programmes with an interest in them. The institute offers four full-time courses, which consist of BBA LLB, BBA LLB, LLB, and LLM. These courses have been especially designed to instill in students not only the highest level of legal theory but also fine practical skills in order to excel in the profession. Admission to the under graduate programmes was done on a strength of 300 seats, 60 each for BBA LLB and BA LLB, with a provision of an intake of 180 seats for the course of LLB. LLM programme is open to all the potential postgraduate students, as no specific intake has been mentioned for the same.
