The College of Agriculture is one of the constituent colleges located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, established in 1950. Located on Race Course Road, this premier institution has been producing agricultural professionals for over seventy years. 22 courses are taught in the college, with three levels of degrees; a total of 629 students are taught by 34 faculties. The college offers extensive programmes in the agricultural sciences, with a ratio of 62% of undergraduates and 38% postgraduates, and the ratio of males to females is 67:33, respectively.

The college has all the facilities scattered on campus for the all-around development of the students. It has well-equipped practical demonstration laboratories, a separate library that holds an elaborate collection of literature on agriculture and modern information technology facilities that enable the students to catch up with the technological revolution in the line of agriculture. The college also provides recreational amenities for games, particularly for the sports lovers, which consist of ticket and kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis games. It also has an auditorium for use on occasions such as seminars, a gym for fitness, and a facility for a health centre with first aid equipment. Accommodation is made comfortable through the availability of male and female hostels for those students from outstations.

College of Agriculture B.Sc Admission Process

  • B.Sc. Agriculture: It is an approved undergraduate programme with 300 students. Admission will probably be through 10+2 scores in science subjects and a probable state-level entrance examination. Its duration will be around 4 years.
  • B.Sc. Horticulture: Another undergraduate programme offered by the college, but this time mainly focused on horticultural sciences. The College of Agriculture admission process is just like B.Sc. Agriculture, except for the subjects dealt with under biology and agriculture in the 10+2.

College of Agriculture M.Sc. Admission Process

The college offers 11 different M.Sc. programmes in various agricultural specialisations. College of Agriculture admission to these programmes is usually based on the candidate's performance in their bachelor's degree and possibly a postgraduate entrance examination. The M.Sc. Vegetable Science programme has a notably large intake of 400 students.
