College of basic science and humanities, bbsr was a great help in making me the person I am today. It not only focuses on academic excellence but also focuses on athletics, culture, drama etc. the staffs were great and they treated us with atmost care and respect. The college had libraries and laboratories with all good equipments.
The teachers were very well qualified and made us understood each and every chapter. They always finished our syllabus. The exams were conducted on time the results were published on time. Overall my experience was good.
As a govt college is provided us with decent amount of placements. Mostly for computer science students it was good. The average salary was 3 LPA. And most of the students are placed is mnc like vedanta tcs etc.
Regular courses were charged very less amount of money. It costed only 15000 per year.
It was amazing. The functions the events everything was great.
Mu college life taught me a lot of things and basic science played it’s part very well.
The college was spacious with classrooms that are clean and ventilated. classrooms are air-conditioned and the sitting arrangements are well maintained. The college makes sure that there is a periodic renovation and work to make the infrastructure better.
I was studying BSc in biotechnology, as I had an interest in this field but I didn't get much practical exposure so I switched. The quality of teaching is good but, the curriculum is not updated with recent developments. Since the practicality of the course isn't up to par it won't make you ready for the job.
The placement was not up to the mark. No companies came for campus recruitment nor they were called by the college as we were from the COVID batch we didn't get much importance. To my knowledge, most students just went for higher studies.
My course cost me around 30K per semester. so, it's 1.8 L for 3 years. which is affordable for any student who wants a degree from a reputed college under OUAT. it's worth it if you could make it worthwhile, so it depends on you.
The campus was very minimal, there was greenery and space everywhere, which makes it serene. The college conducts fest, events, and even competitions where students can engage themselves. students and staffs were very kind and friendly. The location of the college is best and can handle every type of emergency.
I will surely recommend this college if you want a degree from a reputed college, and wants to have fun. otherwise, it's not worth it.
Yes, it has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. There are classrooms, labs, etc. But the library and hostel are a little far away. The Library is the central library of OUAT. The college is a little far away from the main OUAT office.
I studied B. Sc (Chemistry) as I like the subject. The quality of teaching is good. Self-study is important for students. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. It's just B. Sc so it might not make you job ready for a high paying job in the field of chemistry.
Not so good for my subject. Placement are not offered for Chemistry but some options are there for Physics and Mathematics from some companies which are multi-national. So, choose taking this in your mind.
The fees are not that high for physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, and zoology but for self-financing courses like microbiology, and biotechnology, it's quite high. Yes, I got the money's worth. It's a good college and has a good name in Odisha.
The college campus is good and has a good number of co-curricular activities. Annual functions are always great so are the picnic along with good food. The teachers and staff are good too. Don't disturb the staff during lunch hours.
Well, basic science college have all necessary infrastructure for students. It has no.of labs and the labs are ofc well equipped. The canteen has got a good and clean environment .students can sit n chill there .there is ofc a place to study also.its olay
Well I'm studying biotechnology, and teachers are well informed about the new ways of teaching... With lots of practical class....n its fun studying in that environment. Yes what we study makes us job ready
U will get good placement if u further study msc...if not u ll not get a job upto the mark.it has good career if u further study in that field....n do PhD. After that u can go on wid research oriented jobs n also has great scope for abroad
The course cost me approximately 50k per annum becoz its got college. Ya the money is worth it becoz they do give us a lot of practical outlook. They also provide notes pdf n stuffs and take extra class for doubt
Yaa its joyful n easy to cope in that environment
Well it would really b better if they could start there own vehicle services do that its easy for students to travel .i don't much about the hostel facilities but ladies hostel in very close to college campus
Yes infrastructer of my college is very good....facilities and equipments for laboratories are in a very good condition...classes are well built and laboratories libariries are good....yes living area and hostel food are also hygenic
I am currently a physics honours student in 1st year....dont know about other branches but the phusics department is quiet good teachers are very friendly and are always ready to help....syllubus is updated and acording to the goverment recomendation
As basic science college is one of the top three colleges in odisha so placemenet rate is as good as any other good college here....placement after bsc in odisha is quiet difficult...but in case of mba or mca placement is quiet good
As this is an autonomous college course cost per year is almost nothing....in my case as a physics honours student the fee is collected per semester and this fee is as low as 1545....yes when the fee is this low it is quiet good
Campus life is very good there is no ragging no racism in campus...... seniours are quiet friendly...you will find it easy to bond with them....student teacher interaction is very good so environment is good...yes its located in a good place
Yes i will say overally this is a very good college....as one onethe top college only good students are selected here so you will find a good competition...and a good competitive environment which is very healthy
