Today, CEMK is an institution that offers high quality education in the field of engineering and managerial courses. It conducts undergraduate and postgraduate courses only in engineering. The admission process in respect to merit and selection of qualified students is strictly followed and laid down under the merit-based admission scheme at CEMK. Here Admissions are based on the two major and important joint entrance examinations: the WBJEE and the JEE Mains (Joint Entrance Examination [Main]).

Eligibility requirements for admission into B.Tech programs at CEMK mainly includes the completion of 10+2 or an equivalent examination having compulsory subjects - Physics Chemistry Mathematics. Additionally, candidates need to secure marks in accordance with the minimum criterion set by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board or the JEE Main conducting authority.

For all programmes of M.Tech, M.Tech in Mechatronics from CEMK, generally, the applicants need to have a related B.Tech or B.E. degree.

Application Process

This process of application for admission in CEMK is different for the applications to be made by different entrance examinations:

For WBJEE-based admissions:

1. Register for WBJEE for the official website of WBJEE.
2. Fill up an online application form with all personal and academic details as accurately as possible.
3. Upload all required documents along with one recent passport-size photograph and signature.
4. Pay application fees online.
5. Submit the filled application form and take a printout for future reference.
6. Attend the WBJEE examination on the specified date.
7. Post-results register for online counseling as conducted by WBJEE Board.
8. Upon receipt of allocations of seats, one then needs to report to CEMK to complete the final formalities.

Admission Through JEE-Main :

1. Register and apply for JEE Main at the official NTA JEE website.
2. Fill in the required details in the application form.
3. Upload the documents required such as photograph and signature.
4. Pay application fees online.
5. Submit the form and take a hard copy of the confirmed page.
6. Appear for the JEE Main examination as scheduled.
7. Following the results, participant in the counseling process (details will be announced by the admitting authority). 8. If selected at CEMK, complete the admission process as directed by the institute.

Degree-wise Admission Process

Undergraduate Courses under B.Tech: CEMK is offering seven B.Tech degrees for Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, VLSI Design and Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Admission into these programmes is based on the individual's performance in either WBJEE or JEE Main followed by a counseling process as directed by WBJEE Board.

M.Tech- CEMK offers an M.Tech in Mechatronics with an intake of 6 seats. The typical M.Tech admissions process includes the GATE score of the candidate and may also include personal interviews or other selection methods determined by the institute.
