College of Engineering Karunagappally was established in the year 2000, under the aegis of the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD). The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. College of Engineering Karunagappally offers 2 degree programmes that are B.Tech and M.Tech.

College of Engineering Karunagappally offers scholarships to eligible students from various programmes. KSSM Snehapoorvam Scholarship - students of Kerala whose father/mother or both have passed away	Must belong to the APL category, with annual income at or below Rs 20,000 in rural areas and Rs 22,375 in urban areas opportunity. BPL category students can also apply.
