The college offers admission in undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech) courses. The duration of the courses is 4 years for B.Tech and 2 years for M.Tech. These are professional and technical degree courses.

Admission to the above courses is done through the rules of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala and the Directorate of Technical Education Kerala. The B.Tech candidates are required to have a valid score in the KEAM exam so that they meet the cutoff, released by the college.

The girls hostel is very good and it has fully furnished rooms.
There are attached rooms and bathrooms available at College of engineering Karunagapally and they are maintained in a very hygienic environment and are hence recommended to be taken if given the opportunities.
