CET a well-known college of engineering was founded in the year 2000 in Thalassery, Kerala. This affiliated college which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has following comprehensive courses in engineering and management. The CET happens to be spread in a 25-acre campus and has a total of 1467 students and has a faculty of 51. The institute offers 10 courses at three levels of degrees with main focus on engineering disciplines and management. The existence of modern facilities and the curriculum ensure that learning meets par in the technological and business world at CET.
College of Engineering, Thalassery has provided so many amenities that would improve the learning process and development of the students. There are student friendly laboratories where they can practice practical real life activities alongside the theoretical knowledge taught in classes. A library that includes a vast collection of books, journals, research articles, newspaper and periodicals that students need for their studies provides synthesis. However, in order to meet the needs of students, CET offers individual hostel facilities for both male and female students. In the light of the above arguments the college pays a special attention to the health aspect through its provision of sporting amenities and exercise on yoga. Central computing facilities and enormous internet and Wi-Fi connectivity allow students to acquire the necessary technological demands. The campus also boasts of large cafeteria that serves food for students and workers, an allow for gatherings, seminars and other functions, besides having a shop for provisions.
Currently, College of Engineering, Thalassery provides 10 courses, of which the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are offered. The institute offers a full B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Information and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. Under post graduate programmes, CET offers MBA , MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, M.Tech in Embedded Systems, M.Tech in VLSI and VLSI Design. The total approved intake for all the courses offered at this institute for every year is 630 students, thus the institute has proved that it has the capacity of producing a large number of engineers and managers in society.
College of Engineering, Thalassery only offers the admission process through entrance examination. In B.Tech programmes the admissions are based on the rank secured by the candidates in Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical (KEAM) test conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. MBA course admission is offered based on the KMAT, CMAT, or CAT scores and group discussion and interviews. For M.Tech admissions the entrances scores for GATE are given importance but even can be taken from other exams too. The various national and state level entrance tests accepted in the college include GATE, CAT, CMAT, and KMAT. The students should therefore check under the admission section of the official websites for more on specific admission dates or deadlines. However, the details of scholarships are not released to the public; therefore, this college must have some ways of assisting deserving students financially to be able to afford their college fees.

Usually any University doesn't allow the change of colleges without the completion of a particular course's tenure. You cannot change for studying in second year to a different college. You will have to repeat the first year again in that college. To check, you can contact the University and ask them for the permission. If they grant it, you can.
