The College of Food Processing Technology and Bio-Energy, Anand Agricultural University, came into existence in the year 2005 at Anand, Gujarat. It is a coeducational institution with specializations in food technology and allied subjects. The institution offers numerous under graduation, post-graduation, as well as Ph.D. courses. This institution has an enrolment of 207 students along with the required faculty of 28 employees in total.

Tech; at the postgraduate level, M. Tech in Food Processing Technology, Food Process Engineering, and Food Safety and Quality Assurance is provided. Ph.D. programmes are available for advanced research pursuits in these specialized areas.

Admission to the College of Food Processing Technology and Bio-Energy is done based on the prescriptions for admission to different levels of the respective programs. Merit list for admission in B.Tech Food Technology shall be prepared on the basis of a candidate's performance in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test as well as his or her HSSC examination results. Admission to postgraduate and doctoral courses is given based on performance in the entrance examination conducted by the University and at the candidate's qualifying degree examination. The performance of the candidates in the GUJCET scores decides the UG admission in this college, therefore it becomes imperative.
