The College boys hostel has a good reading room and indoor game facilities and is just a stone’s throw away from the college.
The College girl students reside in ladies' hostels (Harsha and Haritha) of the College of Horticulture within the main campus. A separate ladies' Hostel (Nila) near the College is provided for the PG students.
The college has a Gym facility for the students and 12 stations multi-gym.
The College Library houses 6500 titles related to forestry science
The College has facilities for sports and games including 12 station multigym, a basketball court with a pressure release ring, and indoor facilities for table tennis. These facilities are used regularly by both students and faculty.
The College has a separate computer lab with a full-time internet facility that has been established exclusively for the use of students.

In addition to UG and PG laboratories, separate laboratories for biochemical work, Silvi culture, agroforestry, biotechnology, tree physiology, tree propagation, tree tissue culture, mensuration, wood quality testing, wood anatomy, seed technology, forest management, wildlife science, etc. have been established. In addition, a central instrumentation facility is also available. Laboratories have the most modern equipment such as the Plant Water Status Console, Leaf Area Meter, Data Logger, Radiation Sensors, Plant Canopy Analyzer, Laminar Flow, Sound Level Meter, UV Spectrophotometer, Flame Photometer, Precision Balances, Portable Photosynthetic system, Continuous flow analyzer, Automatic Nitrogen Analyzer, Wood Micro-tome, Programmable Bio-freezers, Digital Vernier Calipers, Lux Meter, Image Analyser, TDS Meter, Densitometer, Electroscopes unit, etc.
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

In order to get admission in M.Sc Forestry course, either you need to give an entrance exam or through merit basis, which depend on colleges.
If you give an entrance exam, you have to register, fill an application form, submit all required documents and pay an application fee. Prepare for the examination based on previous years papers.
For merit based selection, you need to submit an application form to your interested college. Moreover, you need to have a good score in Bachelor’s degree exams. According to cutoff lists, you should check your eligibility and submit all required documents.
You need to pass at least 50 percent marks in Bachelor’s degree.
Course fee is INR 16000 to 150000.
Top colleges are Punjab Agricultural University, Birsa Agricultural University, Nagaland University and a lot more.

Yes you have to give entrance exam to get admission into Post Graduation Course in College of Forestry, Vellanikkara - Kerala Agriculture University. You can go through Post Graduation entrance exams of KEAM or NEET. You should also have minimum 50% aggregate in Undergraduation.

For admission in this college, the entrance tests are, KEAM and NEET. The duration of this course is 4 years. The cut off marks is varies from college to college. NEET has not been conducted yet due to this pandemic.
