The College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur, was founded in 1948 and is one of the oldest veterinary colleges in India, delivering education and knowledge in veterinary science. This prestigious college is in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, and occupies a campus area of 162.3 acres. Total student strength is 102 and faculty strength is 69, which thus provides a niche for the aspiring veterinarians.
This is the vision of the college to ensure that students get the necessary facilities they require in order to improve their performance as well as their personal development. Assignable space is available for a variety of diagnostic procedures, patient treatments, and practical learning in many areas of veterinary medicine. An auditorium can be used for academic activities such as functions, seminars, and cultural shows. Besides, an operational health centre with basic accommodations for first aid is also present on the school compound and supplies medical requirements of the students and members of staff.
There are three full-time courses preserved by the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur, for various levels of veterinary education. These include one undergraduate programme, namely B.V.Sc. and AH, one postgraduate programme, namely M.V.Sc. and AH, and that of a Doctor of Philosophy: Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry. The college has remained very disciplined in the offering of veterinary education and training and has an accrued total enrolment of one hundred and two total students across all levels.
