CIST is Private industrial university firstly set up in 2008 in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh India. Set up at Patel Nagar on Raisen Road, CIST is an affiliated college recognised by the AICTE New Delhi and accredited by NAAC. The institute occupies a baronial land area of 3.13 acres with 1,133 total students and 101 faculties. CIST currently delivers 10 courses across three programmes of study and concentrates on engineering, technology, and management domains.

CIST does offer an impressive list of useful learning facilities for the students enrolled in this institution. The institute has well stocked laboratories for each department which are used to train the students as per the syllabus. The library is one of the central information processing centres that includes more than 20 thousand books, 63 national and international magazines, e-books, and question papers of previous years. To nourish the interests of technocrats, CIST has a modern computer center with internet connection to support educational and research purpose. The campus has also provided separate hostels for boys and girls for 460 students have facilities of gymnasium sports etc.

The institute presents two types of programs: undergraduate and postgraduate, in total of 10 courses are given. In the under graduate level, CIST offer B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning. Post graduate courses of the institute include Master of Technology in Power Systems and Thermal Engineering M.B.A. Programmes. 

The procedure for joining CIST differs according to the course of study. The selection is made strictly on merit of marks secured in Physics, Chemistry Mathematics subjects of standard XII examination. For the M.Tech programmes admission is granted on the basis of ranking in the GATE score or qualifying examination and admissions are conducted through online counselling conducted by DTE, Madhya Pradesh.
