Though somewhat lacking in sincerity, this representation of CIST is encompassed with disparate courses in engineering, technology, and management for their undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and various admission schemes against merit system based on national-level entrance examinations for each program.

The institute accepts the JEE Main score for Bachelor of Technology courses, while GATE and CMAT score for the Master of Technology and Master of Business Admin programs respectively. CIST admission tests are conducted through an online counseling mode, held by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Application Process

CIST application procedures differ from course to course , as thus:

For B.Tech Programs:

1. Appear for the JEE Main Examination.
2. Register for online counseling conducted by DTT, Madhya Pradesh.
3. Fill out the application form for counseling and pay the processing fee.
4. Upload documents as per DTE requirements.
5. Attend the counseling and select CIST and choice of courses.
6. If a seat is allotted, from the day of admission exercise, report to CIST for verification of documents.

For M.Tech Programs:

1. Above all, qualify for GATE or any other qualifying examination.
2. Register online counseling through DTE Madhya Pradesh.
3. Fill and submit the Counselling Application, remitting requisite fees.
4. Upload specified documents as advised by DTE.
5. Participate in Counseling and select CIST and preferred Courses.
6. Report to CIST for verification and formal admission, upon seat allotment.

For MBA Programs:

1. Appear for the CMAT examination or any qualifying examination.
2. Register for the online counseling process conducted by DTT, Madhya Pradesh.
3. Fill out the application form for counseling and pay the processing fee.
4. Upload all required documents as per DTE specifications.
5. Attend the counseling and select CIST and choice of courses.
6. If a seat is allotted, from the day of admission exercise, report to CIST for verification of documents.

Degree-wise Admission Process 

B. Tech.: The B Tech programs offered by CIST include CSE, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, ECE, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The admissions to these programs are based on the JEE Main examination and the online counseling conducted by the DTE of Madhya Pradesh. The selection is made on merit, judging by the score obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination.

M. Tech.: The CIST offers M Tech programs in the areas of Power Systems and Thermal Engineering. The method of admission is based on GATE scores or through a qualifying examination, and this online counseling is arranged by the DTE of Madhya Pradesh.

MBA: The CIST offers MBA programs, including MBA General. CMAT scores or any qualifying exam form the basis of MBA admission. The selection involves online counseling conducted by the DTE of Madhya Pradesh.

Major required admission documents generally include:
