CSI Teacher Training Institute for Women, Salem Admission Process
CSI Teacher Training Institute for Women, Salem, is a co-educational standalone institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located in Hasthampatti, Salem, Tamil Nadu, this institute has been preparing future teachers for nearly a century. The admission process at CSI Teacher Training Institute for Women is designed to select qualified candidates for its teacher training program. The institute strictly adheres to the admission policy as set forth by the Tamil Nadu state government. The selected candidates are primarily based on performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The two-year course is supposed to produce Qualified Elementary School Teachers.
Application Process

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed course offered at CSI Teacher Training Institute for Women, Salem is a two-year course meant for elementary school teachers. It is the institute's flagship course with an approved intake of 80 seats. The admission process for this course is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the state government's policy.
The D.El.Ed eligibility norms are based on the age criteria. This is different with respect to different groups:

- SC/ST candidates: 35 years
- Orphans and Destitute Widows: 40 years
- Inter-caste Marriage (BC): 32 years
- Inter-caste Marriage (SC): 37 years
