The Culinary Academy of India is the first professional training school for higher education in culinary arts founded in India. Ever since its inception in 1996, the Culinary Academy of India (CAI) has matched the standards of top American and European culinary institutes. The Culinary Academy of India is affiliated to the Osmania University, Hyderabad. Today CAI is recognised as India’s premier culinary arts and catering technology institute, and one of the best colleges for aspiring chefs the world over.
The Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad (CAI) offers three main courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These courses are a bachelor's degree in catering technology (BCT), a Postgraduate diploma in culinary arts (PGDCA) and a craft certification course in food production.
The academy has 7 fully equipped training kitchens, with each kitchen specifically designed for separate learning opportunities. Over the course, the Culinary Academy of India has placed over 7,000 young Indians in leading cruise food production operations globally, and more than 2,000 chef graduates are currently working at India’s topmost hotels and restaurants. There is a staff of 18 full-time chef instructors who cover all the aspects of food production, food presentation, kitchen management and food hygiene.

The Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad provides admission to PGD in Culinary Arts, Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts and Bachelor of Catering Technology and Culinary Arts. Culinary Academy of India Hyderabad admissions are done on the basis of interview and the successful candidate will have to appear for an entrance examination. The successful candidates will be given seats as per the seat intake criteria of the college. Candidates need to submit the duly filled application form to the CIA Hyderabad admission office within the deadline stated by the college.
At diploma level, PGD in Culinary Arts and Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts with a duration of 1 year.
