DAV College, Meerut: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

DAV College, Meerut is an affiliated college located in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college is sprawled over an area of more than 2.5 acres and provides undergraduate degree courses to accommodate students of different interests. With 547 students and 24 faculty members, DAV College ensures concentration of learning.

At the campus level, there are facilities of many kinds which facilitate student life. Library: An important need of academic pursuit is a well-stocked library of about 20,000 publications and more than 13 national journals. Both physical science and biological science labs with standard equipment for B.Ed. students are available on the campus. There is a psychology lab with different psychological tests and equipment. The availability of the language laboratory is also there that helps in developing English speaking skills. As is rightly said, it is very much essential in today's world that students communicate in English. Extracurricular activities are also provided within a large playing ground, providing games like badminton, volleyball, Kho-kho, basketball, and kabaddi. There is also very nicely furnished and fully air-conditioned auditorium for seminars, debates, cultural programs, etc.

DAV College, Meerut offers four full-time undergraduate courses with a total intake of 592 seats in many disciplines. Among these programmes, BA has the maximum intake of 372, followed by B. Ed which contains 100 seats. Both BCA and BBA comprise 60 seats each. Keeping in view these courses are meant to firmly provide basic knowledge in their fields to students, thus preparing them for further studies or professional careers.

The DAV College, Meerut, however, has the following admission process program-wise: Admission to B.Ed is strictly on a merit basis, considering marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination. The college follows the admissions policy as laid down by the State Government/UT administration and the university of its affiliation once again. This is accessible to a larger student base as there is transport provision to students from Meerut, Hapur, and neighboring villages.
