Degree wise Admission Process

BA: DAV College provides a Bachelor of Arts (BA) course with the largest intake of 372 seats. The admission in the BA course is generally through the merit obtained by the candidate in their 10+2 or equivalent exam. The college takes into consideration the overall percentage obtained by the candidate in his/her qualifying examination.

B.Ed: The intake in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course at DAV College is 100 seats. The B.Ed admission process is more organized and competitive. According to the policy of the college, "Admission shall be on merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University." This would mean that the candidates could be required to sit for an entrance test along with their qualifying degree marks for admission into B.Ed.

BCA: The intake for the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) course is 60 seats, it is possible that admission would be on the basis of merit of the candidate's performance in their 10+2 exam, with preference for subjects concerning computer applications.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course also takes an intake of 60 seats. Just like BCA, admission to BBA would be probably merit-based, keeping in mind the candidate's performance at the 10+2 exam, with major focus on those subjects which are specific to business studies.
