Dev Samaj College for Girls, Ambala Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college offers a spacious and well-stocked open-shelf library. The library has more than 37,360 books and subscribes to 02 journals. Besides, it receives 7 newspapers and 09 magazines.  The library also provides books to students during examination time with the collection of deposit money. We endeavor to further improve all our efforts to facilitate the right information to the right user at the right time. Separate cabins are maintained in the library for the individual studies of the student.

The college has an ultra-modern and well-equipped Home-Science Lab where students are acquainted with hands-on knowledge and skills.  The College has different sections in the lab for different activities like cooking, stitching, embroidery, knitting, and home management.

The College computer system is of latest configuration and working. The department of computer application has well equipped air-conditioned computer lab. The overall seating capacity of the lab is 50 students

The college has a modern auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 is available for our academic-related functions. The auditorium is very comfortable and wide aisles enable patrons to remain seated as others pass by. The college is having an Audio-Visual Room, which is used by all the departments. This Multipurpose room is used for subject lectures, guest lectures, seminars, presentations, departmental activities, and workshops. Various departments, clubs, and societies regularly use the Audio-Visual Rooms.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College cafeteria caters for refreshments and eatables to the students, faculty, and the operating staff respectively. The cafeteria is very spacious in order to accommodate a large number of students and also have a comfortable sitting arrangement. The whole ambiance of the cafeteria is so soothing and delightful that it tempts you to come here again and again. The cafeteria has a number of food counters providing a variety of food items to choose from!  A well-organized “coupon” system is followed in the cafeteria in which a coupon is bought from the main counter and this coupon is used to get the desired food item. The prices of the food items are fixed by the college authorities and are easily affordable by the students. The quality of food items is regularly monitored.

The college has a playground where the students are trained in various sports like Volleyball, Football, Hockey, etc., by required articles and experienced physical directors.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
