Devaswom Board College, Thalayolaparambu Admission Process

The Devaswom Board College, Thalayolaparambu, is one of the top ranking institutions in Kerala, India. It has a variety of courses for graduation and post-graduation in different disciplines. Admission to Devaswom Board College is governed by the CAP (Centralized Allotment Process) of Mahatma Gandhi University for transparency and equal opportunities. In postgraduate studies, one chooses from either M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. Physics, M.Sc. Chemistry, or M.A. Malayalam. Entry to such programs is granted purely by selection in merit order on the basis of academic performance and rank in the University Centralized Allotment Process merit list. The college follows the reservation policies in force by the government with due regard for social, economic, and educational opportunities for all deserving sections.

Application Process

1. Click the UG-CAP button for admission to undergraduate courses, or simply click on the PG-CAP button for admission to the Master's degree programs. 

2. Fill out relevant online application form affiliated with Devaswom Board College by providing necessary personal and educational details.

3. Attach hard and soft copies of necessary documents, such as a 

  • Passport size photograph, 
  • Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination (10th and 12th/degree certificate), 
  • Caste certificate (if any), 
  • And other certificates, as required by the university/college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. Programs: The college offers four B.A. programs, namely in Political Science (50 seats), Malayalam (40 seats), Hindi (30 seats), and English (24 seats). Admission for these B.A. programs is through the UG-CAP of Mahatma Gandhi University with some other instructions. A candidate should have passed +2 (course with two-year duration) with the concerned subjects relevant for the intended degree.

B.Sc. Programs: Programs in the following courses are available: Mathematics (48 seats), Physics (32 seats), Oriental Studies Botany (32 seats), and Chemistry (intake not disclosed). The seats in these undergraduate programs are allocated strictly according to the UG-CAP system. Those who wish a career from these programs are expected to put in a lot of hard work and commitment to scientific subjects right from the 10+2 level.

B.Com Program: With a large number of less-stipulated paid seats-32-comes the much-recommended B.Com Marketing course, which requires the UG-CAP to admit the students. Generally, students who have shown good scores in commerce supplied through their higher secondary education are preferred. limitado.downcase

M.Sc. Programs: There is 20 seats in M.Sc. Mathematics, 10 in M.Sc. Physics, and 12 in M.Sc. Chemistry. Admissions to these programs occur through the PG-CAP facility of Mahatma Gandhi University. Applicants should be able to hold a graduate degree in a relevant program to be eligible for it.

M.A. Program: There is also the option to study M.A. in Malayalam with 15 seats available. Now, again, the selection is through the PG-CAP scheme, the eligibility of which is a Bachelor's from Malayalam or any other related subject.

College offers both under graduated and post graduation programmes. Semester system is followed here ie., exams conducted at the end of every semester: total 6 semester for 3 year course. Faculties are well wualified.
