DVSIM Admission Process

Dewan VS Institute of Management (DVSIM) has earned its name as one of the best educational institutions for management programs in Meerut. It has AICTE approval and conducts a painstaking admission process to be selected for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. DVSIM is a center that takes admissions on the basis of the scores from numerous national-level management entrance examinations thereby throwing open the doors for students of enormous potential from different backgrounds.

The admission process at DVSIM is specifically designed for those candidates who have shown brilliant academic performance along with management capability. DVSIM accepts scores from different entrance exams: CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, among others, to attract a rich mix of students based on varied educational backgrounds.

The aspiring students of PGDM at DVSIM will have to clear any one of the accepted entrance examinations for boarding the selection process. Thereafter, the institute prepares a shortlist based on the entrance tests scores and academic performance during graduation.

Application Process

There are various steps involved in the application procedure for Dewan VS Institute of Management in the PGDM program.

1. Entrance Exam: Candidates have to appear for any one of the following entrance exams - CAT, XAT, MAT or ATMA. Each entrance exam will have a process of applications and dates:    

2. CAT (Common Admission Test): Annual exam usually occurring in November/December. Candidates should check IIM CAT website for exact dates and procedures.

3. XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test): To be conducted in January. Applications are usually accepted months ahead of the test date.

4. MAT (Management Aptitude Test): This is conducted several times in a year. Next application deadline for PAPER BASED TEST (PBT) February session is March .

5. AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA): This is when candidates would need to check upcoming dates and details of application, as the exam is held several times a year.

6. DVSIM Application: Candidates have to apply directly to Dewan VS Institute of Management after the entrance test. This usually involves: Filling up the application form of the institute (on the official website) and submitting the required documents, among which are: 

  • Entrance Exam Score Card 
  • Graduation mark sheets and certificate 
  • 10 and 12standard mark sheets 
  • Other relevant certificates/documents as specified by the institute

7. Shortlisting: The institute shortlists candidates based on the performance score in the respective entrance exams and their academic performance during graduation.

8. Selection Process: The details regarding the subsequent selection round have not been shared. However, it can be inferred that the standard processes followed at a functional management institute will generally include: Group Discussion (GD) Personal Interview (PI) Written Ability Test (WAT)

9. Final Selections: This would usually depend on the performance of the candidate across all rounds - entrance exam, academic record, and any other selection process conducted by DVSIM.

10. Admission Confirmation: The selected candidates shall be required to complete admission formalities as below: - Payment of requisite fees - Submission of original documents for verification - Any other processes required by the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): Dewan VS Institute of Management's flagship program is a two-year full-time PGDM course. This program seeks to address global business changes over the course of those two years. It incorporates all streams under management and business education. Admission processes for PGDM include the following steps:

1. Marks obtained in graduation will help shortlist candidates for further processing.
2. Test scores from various entrance examinations conducted for management admissions such as CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA are considered by the institute to vary students' backgrounds.
3. With only 60 seats approved for entry to the PGDM program, students can therefore expect personalized attention from faculty members and quality education.
