Doon College of Education, Saharanpur, was established in the year 2003 and is a co-educational institution situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. This affiliated college gets recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. This is one among the varied educational courses available to all categories of students. Under the institution's full-time offerings are courses spread from undergraduate to postgraduate programmes. At the undergraduate level, there is B.Ed, B.P.Ed, B.Sc in Biotechnology and Computer Science, BCA, and BBA. Advanced level courses comprise M.Ed, M.P.Ed, M.Phil programmes in Education and Physical Education. The approved total intake of all courses is 625, reflecting capacitation of the college in grooming a huge number of aspiring professionals.

Doon College of Education aims to make the admission process absolutely fair and comprehensive. The admission to the B.Ed course is based on merit, which comes from the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per state government policies and that of the university. The procedure for admission to B.P.Ed. is also on the same lines, except that it contains other additional components, such as a sports proficiency test and a physical fitness test.

The entrance examination scores are also considered in case of postgraduate programmes like M.Ed and M.P.Ed. However, in the case of M.P.Ed, fitness tests and interviews are conducted at the time of admission. Policies adopted by the state government and UT administration as well as the affiliated university are followed at the college level.
