Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pune was established in the year 1999. The college is situated in Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri, Pune, and it is spread over 42.5 acres. The institute is accredited to National Assessment and Accreditation Council and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine. Being an affiliated college, it has a plethora of 15 courses sprawling across 3 degree programs, with a total student enrolment of 766. The faculty strength of the institution is 92, thereby maintaining a very decent student-faculty ratio that provides a very conducive and learning-friendly atmosphere within the campus.
The institute has a number of modern facilities for its vibrant academic pursuits. Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre has well-equipped laboratories, a comprehensive library, and state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure that help students in their academic pursuit. The college has a separate hostels for boys and girls to make the students feel comfortable in their stay. A spacious auditorium serves as a venue for various events and seminars. Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre offers all Ayurvedic courses. The institute offers 15 full-time course undergraduate and postgraduate. At the undergraduate level, its flagship program is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery with 100 seats. It has a wide variety of courses at the postgraduate level, with seats ranging from 6 to 12 in the main specialisations like MD Sanskrit Samhita, MD Rachana Sharir, MD Kayachikitsa, MS Strirog and Prasutitantra, and MD Bal Rog, to name a few.

The admission procedure in Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre is based on merit and in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The admission to BAMS courses shall be based on the All India Rank and percentile of marks in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test NEET conducted by NTA. Postgraduate admission into MD/MS courses shall be based on the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test, AIAPGET, conducted by NTA.
