Dr DY Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pune Admission Process

Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, is famous for the multifaceted courses available, both in graduate and post-graduate levels in the field of Ayurved. Recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, being NAAC Accredited college that has admission strict enough to test the ability, caliber, knowledge, and talents of applicants selected for studies and research activities therein. In general, the admission cycle starts according to the national entrance exams held for Ayurveda courses. Undergraduate admissions are based on the scores of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Admission in postgraduate Ayurveda courses is made as per the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).

For the BAMS program, a candidate must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. The selection is based on All India Rank and percentile of marks obtained in NEET, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Postgraduate admissions for MD/MS courses are made on the basis of performance in AIAPGET, which is also conducted by NTA. The college offers specializations like MD Sanskrit Samhita, MD Rachana Sharir, MD Kayachikitsa, MS Strirog and Prasutitantra, and MD Bal Rog, among others. NTA usually announces important dates related to NEET and AIAPGET that include application deadlines, the dates of the respective examinations, and date sheet of the results. 

Application Process 

The process for admission at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre is as follows:

BAMS:

1. NEET conducted by NTA.

2. Qualify the NEET score with a valid cut-off, which is announced by the authorities.

3. Get registered in the state-level counseling process, since the college falls under Maharashtra.

4. Counseling process: Get a seat at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre.

5. If they get a seat, report the college for documentation and fee deposition.

6. Documents needed from them: the score card for NEET examination, marksheet of 10+2 level, and such other certificates if required by the college.

MD/MS Programme

1. Appear at AIAPGET conducted by the NTA

2. If the candidate achieves a valid AIAPGET, as per cutoff.

3. All India Ayush Post Graduate Counselling/State-level Counseling.

4. Choose Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre and preferred courses during counseling.

5. If taken into a seat, then appear to college for document verification and admission formalities.

6. Documents needed, such as AIAPGET score card, BAMS degree certificate, completion certificate of internship, and other documents as required by the college and so on.

BAMS: The BAMS course offered by Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre has an intake of 100 seats. The admission is given based on the NEET score of the candidate. The total course fee is around Rs 22,50,000. Eligibility for the course requires completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • MD/MS Courses: The college offers various courses in postgraduate studies with varying intake capacities.
  • MD Bal Rog: 12 seats, total fee is Rs 14,85,000
  • MS Strirog and Prasutitantra: 12 seats, total fee is Rs 16,50,000
  • MD Kayachikitsa: 12 seats, total fee is Rs 14,85,000
  • MD Sanskrit Samhita: 6
  • MD Rachana Sharir: 6
  • MD Sharir Kriya: 6
  • MD Swasthavritta: 6
  • MD Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana: 6

AIAPGET scores determine admissions to all MD/MS programs. Candidate must be having a BAMS degree or its equivalent qualification recognised by CCIM.

  • Caste certificate, if applicable
