Nestled in the arms of Mother Nature, the Hostel is a home away from home to our Hostel students. The Hostel at D Y Patil School of MCA provides for innumerous experiences with Mother Nature in the form of nature trails, hikes and in house adventure camps. Not only this, the scenic landscapes provide for a natural relaxation and serves for the rejuvenation of both the mind and soul, resulting in greater zeal and energy. This area also inculcates in students life-long skills of living together with different cultural background and harbouring a feeling of acceptance and tolerance. It also inculcates mannerisms which assist each child to develop holistically and lead contented lives in the later stages of life. The Hostel is a modern structure consisting of three wings allowing for accommodation 40- 50 students in each wing. Each wing has one Television room with DVD players and space outside where students can wander, read, and sit in the sun or under the stars. The rooms situated in the Hostel is mostly set up for 4 to one room occupancy. This residence also includes a Television lounge and a computer bay. Girls share an outdoor play area with the rest students, where they can play basketball, table tennis, and badminton. Nearly every weekend features social events, organized by the staff & students, the get-togethers include activities such as movie nights, games and dances - all creating evenings much-relished. The celebration of various kinds takes place during the year like Navratri Nights, Dusshera Celebrations, D J Nights. As the Hostel serves as a second home, it is imperative that the academic program is also supported wholeheartedly. Towards this cause, structured prep time is scheduled in the evening, with full support from the academic staff who comes in to supervise the students and provide additional support to the weaker students.

The Boarding House is equipped to provide catering services to students and staffs, in School, the kitchen services are managed by Balaji Caterers and their highly experienced Production & Service team. The kitchen opens at 6.15 am to provide breakfast for students from 7.00 am - 8.00 am. The menu is planned on a 15-day cycle. Multi-cuisine food is provided (a mixture of Indian and Continental dishes) and is planned to maintain variety and norms of nutritional value. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is prepared in designated kitchen areas and available at every meal. Special diets are provided for students & staff on medical advice when necessary. Students and staff eat together at lunchtime in the dining hall which caters to around 200 people between 01:00 pm and 02:00 pm. Idli Sambhar, Italian Pasta, Schezwan Fried Rice, Malabari Chicken…the cheapest and easiest way of traveling around the world is through mouth-watering delicacies. It enables them to experience the joy of enjoying meals with their friends and teachers in an informal setting. Enhancing and strengthening the camaraderie they share with the entire school fraternity.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

With the support of the Director, faculty and the patronage of students, DYPSOMCA Library has grown enormously. The total collection is about 6090 books, 600 CD’s, 200 Project reports, 60 Conference Proceedings, There are 102 periodicals and bound volumes of some prominent journals. It has 3 English and 2 local language newspapers. Both these are preserved for 6 months and 3 months respectively. Library began its Computerization. Today’s world and the competitive scenario demand that the students are well versed in different aspects of learning, unlike yesteryear where a master in one trade was enough to sustain one’s lifestyle. Today’s demands are to be a jack of all trades. So keeping this in mind the students are encouraged in many ways to use the library or resource center. The center has around 5000 books, some fifty CDs and a bank of ten computers with internet facilities. It stays open on all working days from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. All libraries and resource centers of repute throughout the world provide access to the internet, and we are not an exception to this. The net has changed our lifestyle and has become an important tool to find and sift the information required by students and faculty. The center is a growing organism and to keep pace with the increase of students on the rolls, it is planned that another 10,000 books will be added in the next Academic year. It is our endeavor now to make the Resource Center more interactive, more resourceful, more informative, more attractive and more friendly.

Dr. D Y Patil School of MCA has on its campus, an efficient medical and health care facility with a well-equipped medical team. The Health Center is equipped to handle emergencies and routine medical needs of the students and staff. Furthermore, in the case of hospital care DYPSOMCA has tie-ups with the InLaks and Budhrani Hospital.

For imparting IT skills to the students we have built the state-of-the-art Computer Center. The air-conditioned labs are well equipped with the internet and the latest software solutions in its ultramodern networked environment. We believe that education should not be restricted only in classrooms and labs so we have provided a campus that has a wi-fi facility. This enables students to do their thesis and projects innovatively by using the internet.
