Symbiosis Institute of Computer Science and Research, Pune placement cell has offered placements to many students over the past decade. SICSR Pune Placement Procedure
SICSR Pune placement cell conducts live sessions on career counselling in the IT field and soft skills by Industry experts.
The university also conducts guest sessions for the students by experts in startups to become entrepreneurs.
By joining aptitude training and practising our learning management system, students gain the confidence to participate in competitive exams as well. They can see their result online after appearing for the test.
SICSR conducts training by industry experts to develop skills that would help them during Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions, Personal Interviews and Technical Interviews.
SICSR brings experts from the IT industry to help the students learn and understand the latest trends in the Industry and how to select specialisation.

The placement cell really disappointed me. They did bring many companies for internship but they were not good ones and 90% of them were for non technical roles. Till now only 5-6bcompanies have come for placement which include DE Shaw, Accenture, Deloitte, Microland and DeltaX. Only accenture did bulk hiring of 28 students. So don't rely on the placement cell just find an internship and job off-campus.

PlacementsThe placement would be considered below average. It offers packaged form 2 LPA to 3 LPA while other symbiosis institution which offers only BBA offers starting salary at 3.5LPA. In SICSR companies like L&T and infotech for two year training and job, amazon, justdial had offered jobs last year and NSBC 2 year before that. The companies differ every year and are not many options for placement just 2 and 3 companies for placement. Only best 3 year score and college apperance more participate in all functions event student placement are confirm.

Coming to your question, NO you cannot get admission into Symbiosis without giving the SET. The admission will only be provided through the entrance exam conducted by the university. Other than this there is no other way. So, you need compulsorily give this exam.
