Dr. Rajendra Gode Polytechnic, Amravati, is an affiliated college established in 2010 that is locatedin Amravati, Maharashtra. It is a diploma providing institute recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Located on a 16000 square metre piece of land, this polytechnic has an overall enrolment of 238 students in all its programmes. The institute lays down its policy on education stating that it focuses on offering quality technical education to ensure that students are placed in right engineering jobs.

Dr. Rajendra Gode Polytechnic has well equipped and state of the art facilities that can meet students’ academic and extracurricular needs. The library is equipped with reference section and the college boasts of having a collection of 7068 volumes of books constituting dictionaries, handbooks, encyclopaedas etc. It also gets 82 national journals and international e-journals through J-Gate Engineering subscribe. Students utilise digital library facilities, internet systems and reprographic services. Internet connection is installed in the campus hence the students are able to access internet anytime at any time. As for the practical skills, there are efficient laboratories accessible for all departments of the institute. It also directs concern to the welfare of students through availability of first aid HIV/AIDS treatment, sick bay, and an emergency ambulance at any time of the day.

Dr. Rajendra Gode Polytechnic provides three diploma courses each with a course duration of three years. These are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering among others. Each programme has an approved intake capacity of 60 students; thus, making the total number of seats in the programmes to be 180. The importance that the institute attaches to offering practical oriented and industry related training prepares students for trends in the engineering market. Therefore, the basic requirement is to have good grades in the science subjects at the 10+2 levels.
