Father Muller Medical College was established in the year 1991 and is one of the renowned medical colleges situated in Mangalore, Karnataka. Located across a 30 acre land, FMMC is an affiliated college which is NAAC accredited and NMC approved. The college teaches 42 courses in total across 11 differing degree programmes, 1,100 students at a time, and 279 teachers. Father Muller Medical College has all the necessary infrastructure to complement the programmes offered in the college. They also offer the following post graduate courses MD & MS in such specialisations as Anaesthesiology, general Medicine, paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, general Surgery among others. Besides, FMMC has developed super speciality courses such as M.Ch in Urology and DM in Nephrology and Neurology. It also offers several paramedical courses at the bachelors and masters level for programmes such B.Sc and M.Sc Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Imaging Science and Physiotherapy.
The admission process of the Father Muller Medical College mainly depends on national level entrance test. For admission to the MBBS programme students first need to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Under Graduate (NEET-UG). Admission to MD and MS courses are done after clearing the NEET-PG. NEET-SS score is also considered in the college for super-speciality programmes. Degree- wise Admission process
M.Sc: FMMC offers several M.Sc programs in medical sciences. Admission to these programs is based on the candidate's academic performance in their bachelor's degree and may involve an entrance test conducted by the college. The college offers M.Sc programs in Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, Haematology and Blood Transfusion, and Radiation Physics, each with an intake of 5 students.
PhD: FMMC offers doctoral degrees in the streams of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology. Usually, the admissions are done after conducting a written test and/or an interview by the college. It allows candidates having master's level degree in the said fields to appear.
MBBS: MBBS at FMMC is taken up on the basis of marks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-UG. FMMC has 150 approved intake of seats in the MBBS programme. Qualification for a seat in the course is completing 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology along with passing in NEET-UG.
MD/MS: FMMC offers different kinds of MD and MS courses in the institution based on NEET-PG scores. The college specializes in courses such as MD Anaesthesiology, MD General Medicine, MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MS General Surgery, and others. The intake in each special course varies between 2 and 15.

Hostel facilities are good,we live in dual shared rooms which are clean and the place is quite hygienic.Labs have all the equipments neccessary.Classes also have AC centralised and have projectors.Food provided is the mess is OK.

the eligibilty criteria is - the candidate must have a bachelors degree in MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing (Basic or Post basic) B. Pharm, B.Sc.in Allied Health Sciences, or from any other university established under law considered equivalent thereto by RGUHSm the institute must be recognized by respective council where applicable and affiliated to RGUHS. OR a Bachelor degree in Arts, Commerce, Law, Engineering or Management of a University established under law and recognized by the University Grants Commission and shall have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate of marks in all the years of university examination of the degree course. In case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
