my colleges provides all necessary facilities that are require for a student. clean washrooms, drinking water filters, fans, lights, computers facilities are provided by college. Classrooms are well maintained. classrooms has big benches projectors. compare to other colleges our college provides excellent laboratory facilities. our college have tennis court only for tennis and badminton we don't have any court or ground for other sports. our college have wifi routers but those are not working.
I am studying mechanical engineering because mechanical branch of this college is well known. teaching quality is good. teachers took so much effort in teaching. I thing college is using old type of curriculum. curriculum does not have included recent developments but for this university is responsible not the college. college is more focusing on theory than practical. from my perspective i dont think this kind of syllabus will make students job ready.
i cant talk about this topic because now i am in 3rd year but i can tell you what i heard from my teachers and friends. college does not have much core mechanical engineering jobs.i think 30% to 40% of students are getting jobs from college.i dont know about highest package offered. Average salary offered was around 40k.process of placement is not simple. student has to go through long process and it is not pleasant.
i am paying around 1,21,000rs for mechanical course. yes i dont feel that i am getting my moneys worth because of teaching quality and facilities they are providing compare to other colleges which have same fees and college is less supporting for other activities.
campus of college is very beautiful and clean. campus is full of greenery and coconut trees. students can roam all around campus. students can engage in dance club, music club, technical clubs etc. Teachers does support students activities rather than studies.
College is well-equipped and maintained well with the required equipment and sports centres. Classrooms have smart-boards which are used often by professors and library facility is very useful for research and projects.
I'm currently pursuing mechanical engineering and want to work in the aerospace industry. The teachers are very helpful and are experts in their domain subjects. However, the curriculum should be updated to help students who start working professionaly.
The placement percentage is about 35-40% as about 25% students opt for higher studies. Placement quality is good but as our college alumni keep getting good positions in industry, the quality of placements will surely improve.
The college has all the necessary facilities and equipment. The classrooms are large enough to accommodate the allotted number of students to a classroom. And the living the spaces in and the washrooms are very hygienic. But the food hygiene is something is to be developed.
I am doing my B.E Mechanical Engineering from this institute and this institute is one of the best non-autonomous engineering college around Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and Thane. And speaking of the education quality it isn't the quality what I expected and the curriculum of the whole Mumbai University is not up to the date and hence it alone doesn't makes the student job ready.
Students from department like CS and IT are most placed and students other departments like EXTC, Mech and Elec only half of the students get placed and the package offered is also not good only a few from the half students get an average package around 8 lakh p.a.
The annual fees per year is 1.4 lakhs and it is not worth the money and for hostel other 60-80k. The teaching offered is good but the fees is a bit too much while other colleges offer courses at a less pay.
The college campus is very good in short I really love it. Students can engage in many activities like SAE Aero, SAE Baja, ROBOCON and many other technical stuffs and not just technical other like many sports, cultural. The teachers are supportive and encourage and the only thing is they don't allow students with CGPI less than 6.75 in much of the activities. The location is such that emergencies can be easily handled as the well reputed hospital is located nearby.
The department was very supportive and allowed the students in engaging in many activities and also allowed to students to participate in various inter-collegiate competitions if it is a major competition that has large expenses the college even offers funds but it was very hard to get the amount can't forget that part.
Campus infrastructure is good... laboratories are well equipped... libraries and sports centres are also well handled and helpful for students...WiFi needs to be much faster bcoz network issues are there which makes mobile data unstable..
Curriculum is quite outdated but can't blame the college bcoz board is responsible for handling the curriculum.. quality of teaching is good...I cannot say excellent bcoz teaching is more theoretical or subjective ,if it was more project orientated it would really benefit the students..
During placements about 30 students gets placed from each branch...AVG salary is 5-7 lpa...but it is decreasing year after year ...now college has started placement training from third year onwards which is beneficial
Value of money is good... because lab facilities and library are excellent...but academically there has to be some changes...
Campus life is really awesome especially with studentsbcoz they are very friendly and helpful... teaching staff is also friendly and helpful but not everyone... location of college is also at a very good place and also has a safe environment...
The infrastructure and facilities at my college are upto date and maintained properly .The labs have specific important machinaries and equipments needed for the experiments .College has wifi on every floor. Classrooms are kept clean and food at the canteen is hygeinic .There are sports facilities like swimming pool , turf , basketball court and badminton court tho the badminton court is private and fees for booking a court us very high .
I am studying Mechanical engineering and the syllabus is well updated and the teaching methods of our professors are practical enough for us to be job ready . They teach us from history to the most latest advancements .Few teachers still stick to the curriculum and share the book knowledge it depends on teacher to teacher .
well the quality of placements are good enough at my college companies that come include JSW , LnT , Maersk and all. The packages vary from 4.5 lacks to 7 lacks per year .Computer and IT sectors are provided higher packages than mechanical .
BE costs for 1 lakh 48 thousand per year and i think that it is the average fees of many colleges still the fees distribution of my college seems not too clear while paying the fees.
Campus life is good , there are fests organised every year for students to participate and learn new things in workshops which are conducted during these fests . Other than fests there are student bodies like MESA , Aero , sae ,Ishrae etc where students be a part organise events , learn and participate in different competitions . Teachers are friendly and helpful when needed . The campus is in safe open location in vashi .
Yes the college is equipped with good infrastructure facilities and also it provides basic amenities such as library, canteen, sports complex, hostel, WiFi networks, laboratories and also various clubs for the effective development of the students. The clubs are from various departments and also the research and development department is also been developed for the betterment of the students.
I'm currently a student, studying in third year. I have provided the best knowledge in this field by my professors who are always there to guide and help me out. Also there are industrial visits planned for the students to get actual experience of the hands on training which takes place in industries.
The placements for our college for the past few years has seen a increase in the students being hired even before they get their degree certificates. And the college also focuses on placement training programmes which gives students an idea of how the interviews are conducted.
The course currently accounts for 1.4 L per annum, which is a bit high for most of the students. As the college hasn't been granted the autonomous status yet, it should waive off a certain amount from the fee.
Campus is though very good for interacting with many seniors and also the faculties. The location is pretty nice with a mini sea shore in the proximity. Also college is developing various amenities incase of an emergency situation.
Yes it does have all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. Laboratories are well equipped and have latest machines. Library is accessible for students upto 11 which helps hostellites to study. Gym isn't up to date.
I'm pursuing mechanical engineering as I'm interested in manufacturing and designing. The quality of teaching is good but then practical learning should be encouraged a little more. Curriculum isn't update to date it should include latest technologies and idealogies
I would rate 6 out of 10 for placements. 50-60% students are placed and the highest package is 8.5 lakhs PA for mechanical branch. College is very supportive in case of placements but then it should stop spoon feeding of placements and should start job fairs.
It has good library facilities and has access to almost every required book. Has hostel for girls and boys. Also ground for conduction of fests. It also gives access to agnel gym and sports complex including basketball, swimming, athletics, football. Every department has different floor. Washrooms of new buildings are spacious and always well maintained. Wifi has now been implemented and works fair enough, classrooms are spacious and clean, laboratories have almost all required instruments.
Mechanical department is really good, their are many clubs where you can get hands on experience on different field of mechanical engineering. Teachers try their best to stick to project oriented teaching.
Placements was around 60percent with average 4L annually but it might change and drop to a lower percent post lockdown. Professor's help in creating a good presentable resume which helps to get an edge over other institution students.
Fees are higher than other institutions. It is 1.21L tuition fee and 15k developmental for the academic year 2020-21. Since it provides all round development of the student fees are actually acceptable.
Humanities department is tough. Hostel life is little complicated and Canteen is not bad. Others including professors and college staff are really good. They give different opportunities to participate in.
Extremely disciplined
There is ground, swimming pool, library books are outdated there is a ground but we cant use it its only for fest swimming pool is 1-2 Km away and that too we have to pay membership n only available 2 days a week... Canteen is overpriced for the quality of food their giving
They prepare us for exams n not engineering, all our time is wasted in writeup assignment extra tests n retest and they say tell ur problems n when we say they say were giving excuses that we dont get time because of writeup n all. They may more attention to theory rather than practical and we dont get time for skill development, self study, competition, courses n because of extra work many dont get to study n get less marks n KTs and they give very less marks in internals like 14/25, 17/25 etc
Placements are down the drain, few core companies come that too no one gets selected as all we've done is complete write ups n give retests and package n selection rate is also very low, and after everything even telling our problems and how we'll be able to be vetter they don't listen n tell were giving excuses as few students r able to do good and blame it all on us
All the money is getting wasted, neither am i gaining any engineering knowledge neither having any fun, and even if i work hard in finals they give us less marks in internals as we dont get time for self study n get retest in 1 then we dont get to study for next n this goes in n they give us very less internals also they take reprelims in which all our ending time goes and we cant even study properly for exam n so we get less marks... So no marks, no practical knowledge n no fun..
Location as such is good, close to bus stand, share auto is available from the station. But there is no nurse room or anything in case of emergency we have to take ourselves to college that to if we miss some test because of injury we have to give retest and give write up even if ur arm is broken or they'll give us extremely less internals n make us come for unwanted retest which drags on till the practicals.. only best feature are the few good teachers
If i knew all this before i would've never joined this college as apparently all mid level college just teach u for exams but others are chill so they atleast get time for extra curricular activities, courses, competition n gain the practical knowledge n skills but here all u will do is complete ur writeup, give retest, deal with over inflated ego, So at the end, No actual knowledge, no fun, no extra work, not so good marks, n congratulations u wasted ur last childhood phase
The college has a fair infrastructure with all the labs required for performing the Practicals which are in the syllabus. But the equipments fall short and you have to perform in groups. There are separate floors for respective departments. But here you won't get a decent campus area. It is very small as you always find in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. There is canteen where you can have refreshment. There are hostels inside the campus and separate wing for diploma. College has a library.
I'm studying in Mechanical Engineering in 3rd year. I was interested in learning the advancement in technology. The quality of teaching is below average in the first year and improves in next semesters. They focus is more on assignmens and attendance criteria .The criculum doesn't include the recent developments and the syllabus isn't updated in context of the current Technology. Studying here will not make anyone job ready and have to put a real effort by learning and keeping ourself updated.
The quality of placements is average and not worth the hard work you put in these 4 years. As per the year 2018-19 76 companies visited across all branches i.e. mech, cs, elec, IT, entc and 69% students were placed. The highest salary- 12 lakhs, avg salary- 5-6 lakhs. I haven't sat for the placements yet so I prefer not to say anything about the how they were conducted or if there was any support from the department as even though my seniors tell that they were fair enough.
The course cost ₹140000 per year. I think this course is not worth for its value. If you are looking in context of the syllabus then it may be worth taking this course. Teachers ,some of them help in solving doubts and provide info regarding any other interests. Project based studying is less and mini projects are given only related to the syllabus. So it's not worth going for such an option with average teaching and placements.
Campus Life is good, you will find crowd discussing sports, weekend nightouts and exams such as GATE, ESE, CAT,GRE. The college campus is very small. The has has two events every year one sport-cultural and other techno-cultural. You can opt for membership of the badminton court which is good. The college has basketball and football turf not in the campus but outside very close to it. The location is safe and can handle emergency. It's located near to bus depot and 2.5 KM from Vashi Station.
I didn't had a good experience here, only thing important here is to maintain your attendance and do your submissions on time else you are termed as 'indisciplined'. I find many students loosing their interest in this course due to its 'disciplined' system. I would just say that do a prior research to your topic of interest and don't go for this option just because you love to talk about cars. And atlast it was my opinion try collecting different opinions and then make a decision.
Hello Dear,
Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering (CRCE), popularly known as Agnel Bandra, was founded in 1984. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by the All India Council of Technology Education (AICTE). Started with a single course in Production Engineering with only 60 seats, CRCE now has 6 undergraduate programs under the engineering stream, 2 postgraduate programs and offers PhD in 2 subjects. Lowest and Highest palcement was 3.3 Lakh to 16.5 lakh.
Father Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology (FCRIT), Navi Mumbai established in the year 1996. FCRIT Vashi is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra State. Placement in CSE branch is decent in this college.
From the above comparison we can say that Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering is slightly better than Father Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology.
Good Luck
