Fule Ambedkar College of Social Work, Gadchiroli, is one of the only institutes purely dedicated to social work education in the state of Maharashtra. BSW: The Fule Ambedkar College of Social Work offers a three-year undergraduate course in BSW. The admissions to this course are done strictly on the basis of the marks secured by the candidate in their 10+2 examinations. The college has an approved intake of 60 students for this course. The candidate should have passed higher secondary with good grades in relevant subjects.
MSW: The Master of Social Work course is a postgraduate two-year course provided by the college. The intake in the MSW program is generally merit-based and usually consists of entrance test/interview scores along with bachelor's performance. The approved intake in the college for this course is 60 students. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in any discipline may be eligible to apply, though preference might be given to those with a background in social sciences or social work.
Ph.D Social Work: The doctoral program in Social Work is meant for candidates who are interested in advanced research and academic pursuits in the field. Admission to the Ph.D. program generally requires a master's degree in Social Work or a closely related field. The selection process may include submission of a research proposal, entrance test, and personal interview. The duration of the Ph.D. program is generally 3-6 years, depending on the nature of research and candidate's progress.
