GIET, a institution recognized in the year 2009 is an engineering college situated in Cuttack Odisha. Located at Jagatpur near Kharia Bridge, this affiliated college is spread over a total area of 5.539 Acres of land. GIET is also an AICTE affiliated college which focuses in providing quality education in specialized engineering areas. It takes an overall student enrollment of 807 with a faculty of 45 and thus provides favorable conditions for learning. GIET offers five diploma courses in engineering fields which are different from each other to fulfill the requirements of the market.

GIET has a total of five engineering diploma courses that are full time and take a duration of three years. These are the diploma programs; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The total approved intake of the students in the institute is 360 of which Mechanical Engineering has got the maximum intake of 120 students. Ideally all the programs are geared to equip students with basic competencies in their fields of study in respect to the engineering industry.
