GCRG College of Polytechnics, Lucknow, was established in the year 2012 as an affiliated college—to offer diploma programs in various branches of engineering in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The admission process at GCRG College of Polytechnic is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP). Admissions are strictly on merit, based on the candidate's performance in the JEECUP examination. There is also a process for direct admission in the NRI quota and through the management quota for which the college management has to get managed students according to the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh UPBTE.
