GCRG College of Polytechnics, Lucknow, was established in the year 2012 as an affiliated college—to offer diploma programs in various branches of engineering in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. This co-educational institution is approved by the AICTE. It is situated on a 3.61-acre campus with a total student enrolment of 935 and a faculty strength of 57. GCRG College of Polytechnic runs five diploma courses; all under a single roof of a degree program working towards varied engineering specialisations and promoting technical education in the region as a whole.

It is committed to provide an optimum encouraging learning environment, well-backed by various amenities for the all-round academic and personal development of its students. For accommodation, the college provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, with a capacity of 600 and 250 students, respectively. The special feature of these hostels is constant security and 24-hour food, which is available through catered meals in the main dining hall. For the health and wellness of the students, there's a health center with first-aid facilities and regular health check-ups. The library is well-stocked with more than 22,000 documents, 55,000 books, periodicals, and e-journals.

GCRG College of Polytechnic offers five full-time diploma courses in engineering, and each of the above courses is of three-year duration. The Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Production Engineering are some of these courses.

The admission process at GCRG College of Polytechnic is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP). Admissions are strictly on merit, based on the candidate's performance in the JEECUP examination. There is also a process for direct admission in the NRI quota and through the management quota for which the college management has to get managed students according to the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh UPBTE.
