The student will be admitted to the courses based on their 10+2 exam performance with focus given to the specific subjects of an applicant's choosing subject.

B.Sc. Courses: The college provides B.Sc. Honours courses in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Mathematics, Botany, and Geology. Admission to these science courses is based on the marks of the candidate in the 10+2 examination, i.e., science subjects.

B.Com. Courses: Giridih College provides B.Com. and B.Com. Honours in Accountancy. The admission process of these courses considers the performance of the candidate at the 10+2 examination, with emphasis on commerce-related subjects.

B.Ed. Program: Admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program would be strictly merit-based and in light of marks obtained at the qualifying exam and/or entrance test. Selection would be strictly as per guidelines laid down by the state government, UT administration, and the university. The sanctioned strength of intake of the B.Ed. program is 100 students.

Postgraduate Courses: Giridih College offers M.Sc. in Mathematics, M.A. in Mathematics and English, and M.Com. in Accountancy. The courses are offered as per routine on the basis of performance by the candidate in the undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline.
