Gopalan School of Architecture and Planning was set up in 2014 and is one of the best architectural schools situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. Being an affiliated college with the Council of Architecture, the institute provides a balance of theory and practice in the area of architecture and planning. Located on a small 0.85-hectare plot, GSAP offers a concentrated academic setting for its 139 registered students. It has a faculty of 14 committed personnel and offers 2 courses in two courses only.
GSAP prides itself on providing a full set of industry facilities to improve students lives. The campus provides a place for living separately for boys and girls; the hostels provide a second home that encourages interaction of cultures among the learners. The college has established a health centre for all students that has first aid services and a modern exercise facility. The academic and research facility is complemented by well-resourced library facilities to support learning and research, in addition to well-equipped, modern laboratory facilities that are necessary for practical learning achieved in the architecture profession in its varying brackets.

In terms of academic offerings, GSAP provides two full-time courses, a full 5-year B.Arch programme with 40 student intake and a 2-year postgraduate M.Arch Construction Project Management programme with 10 student intake. The total intake of students for all the programmes is 50, and to encourage more interaction between the faculty and students. This institute maintains fewer students per faculty.

The given admission process of GSAP is aimed at choosing the best talents in the sphere of architecture. Admission to the B.Arch programme is based on the result of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE ) Paper 2. The college also accepts admissions from the CET merit list of the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It would like to place on record that GSAP has no provision for students to join the programme at midstream at any point of time in the B.Arch course through any other qualification. The admission to the M.Arch programme depends on the PGCET test organised by the Government of Karnataka.

Gopalan School of Architecture and Planning (GSAP) is a state-of-the-art institution that grants specialised degrees in the fields of architecture and planning. In addition to this, the admissions are also done through the Common Entrance Test (CET) merit list published by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
