GGDSD Chandigarh Facilities

The campus of the college covers an area of 16.5 acres of land. GGDSD College Chandigarh facilities & infrastructure are modern and provide a comfortable environment to the students. The college has a library, separate hostels for boys and girls, modern classrooms, an auditorium etc. The classrooms and auditorium of the institute have modern facilities. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 1000 people. Besides these, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College facilities also include wifi, cafeteria, medical centre, laboratories, alumni association, bank/ATM and parking facility. The college also has facilities for sports like cricket, kabaddi, football etc. Every year the college students participate in various sports tournaments organised inside and outside the campus.

Boys Hostel
The boys hostel of the college is located within the campus premises. GGDSD College Chandigarh hostel facilities include a recreation room, gym, carrom board, table tennis, chess etc. are available at the hostel. The hostel has an accommodation capacity of 275 students and is administered by the warden.
Girls Hostel
The girls hostel is also located within the campus. From time to time events are organised for the entertainment of the students. Diwali, Holi, Lohri etc. celebrations are held every year. The girls have a capacity of 300 students.
Medical/Hospital
The college has a medical centre on its campus. The medical centre has two part-time doctors to offer check-ups and medical facilities to the students and faculty members.
Gym
Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College has a well-maintained gym. The gym has the latest equipment for the students.
Library
The institute’s library has around 70 thousand books and a large number of ebooks. It also has subscriptions to various newspapers, national and international journals. For the convenience of the students, a digital library is also there. To access the digital library there are 25 computers with rapid internet connection inside the library. GGDSD College Chandigarh library has special provision for differently-abled students.
Sports
Adequate sports facilities are there at the campus. Every year a large number of sports events are held in the college. Students of the college have represented the college and university teams in sports like football, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket etc.
I.T Infrastructure
The institute has modern equipment for the students. All the computers at the campus have the latest antivirus software. Furthermore, the systems have 250 Mbps LAN connectivity.
Cafeteria
A canteen is present inside the college. The canteen offers hygienic food and beverages to the students and faculty members at a reasonable rate.
Auditorium
The auditorium is centrally air-conditioned and has modern audiovisual facilities. It can accommodate around 850 students. The college also has a mini auditorium with a seating capacity of 250 people. Both auditoriums are used to conduct various academic events and activities. A seminar hall is available at the college. It has a seating capacity of 150 people.

The college infrastructure is very good we have all the basic facility our college is cery fancy we have very clean classrooms and each classroom has projectors and wifi is available in all over the campus

The SD college has the best infrastructure in the whole chandigarh i am fully satisfied as we have the whole college is covered with the wifi and the canteen is very hygenic the library is so huge all books are available

is ggdsd college private or goverment based college?

Hello kavya,

Ggdsd is a private college. It has been accredited by NAAC. It was established in the year 1945. The total student strength is around 550 and the faculty strength is 19.

As far as the academics is concerned some teachers often come late and some of the teachers don't teach properly but there are also sincere teachers who teach properly and finish the syllabus properly.

The fees is low of this college and this college has good return on investment. Only 25k is charged per year as tuition fee.
