Infrastructure is good for almost every faculty. Starting from chemistry labs to computer labs the infrastructure is present but not really the latest one. So you'll get a chance to work on decent labs.
They have experienced faculty but not knowledgeable and up to date with latest trands. In case of commerce/accounts where no practical/ handson knowledge is required the faculty is good and experienced enough
Poor placement cell for every faculty except commerce. Computer science and IT students will not get any placement through campus. You might get placed in a nearby call center that's it. Don't except a big tech mnc here.
Definitely a value for money for Arts and administration / commerce students.
Good campus life. A lot of fests and activities keep happening around the year.
Overall a good option for commerce students.
The college infrastructure is really good. The college provides with all the facilities we need such as the digital libraries for the research, the classrooms are well maintained and well equipped with all the facilities required. Not to miss the auditorium is one of the best places in the campus, all the big fests are held in the auditorium. The college canteen is what children like the most and the college canteen is also spacious even though the food quality & variety could be improved.
I took up BBA as my course because I had interest in the commerce line. Undoubtedly I had a great experience with the college academic structure and the faculty. The teachers are quite friendly and teach in the best way possible for the students to understand and perform their best in the examinations. Extra notes are also provided by the teachers. In the fast growing and competitive world, one needs the best of studies and alot of hard work which can be done by choosing a good college.
The placements of the college are quite good. Companies like Amazon, Delloite, E&Y and also some reputated banks come offering jobs in the college. Alot of students try for the placements but only the best ones get selected. According to me , i think the placements could also be improved and students could be provided with more options.
My course costed around 40000 per year, which is a little too much for some people to afford but because its a semi government college, the fees is a little higher than the government college. The hostel costs around 70000 per year which is again too much for the facilities provided in the hostel, the hostel food can be improved and the infrastructure could be better. Overall I would say the college fees is ok and value for money for the facilities provided in the college.
The college campus is student friendly and there’s alot of life and light when you enter the college. The infrastructure, facilities, canteen, auditorium, everything is good. The staff is also very friendly and always ready to help. The college student parties are also very helpful,if you’re new to college, feel free to ask for help from anyone. The college environment is all happy and merry and it’s completely safe . The college is located in a very good area of the city.
Every student dreams of a good college life ever since we’re in school, we dream about going to a good college. If you’re looking for a college that has a good crowd, good infrastructure and if you have interests in extra curricular activities such as drama, dance, modelling etc. SD college is perfect choice, located in the centre of the beautiful city of Chandigarh, SD college provides you with all the facilities you need.
Yes, I think the college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment related to my field of study, which is commerce. The classroom are maintained, but they don't have smart boards. I personally prefer white boards with markers, so it worked out well for me. Most of the spaces seem clean, but there were a few exceptions. The food was fine, not very hygienic.
I pursued commerce as it is my field of interest. The quality of teaching is fine, some of the teachers are very impactful. The curriculum is mostly updated, but it requires new methods, so that the students are offered practical knowledge, rather than just theoretical/book knowledge. It would be really helpful in making students job-ready.
I don't think the quality of placements have been very good. I wanted to pursue a career in accounting, and I didn't see many options to pursue that interest. I only went for one placement drive. It was a good experience but it wasn't related to accounting.
My course costed about 30000-40000 rupees per year. It was a good experience and I would say I got my money's worth from this course as I learned a lot of things from it. Although, the learning experience could be improved.
It's a good campus, with a lot of opportunities. The buildings are well maintained, and the admin block is one of the best features. Students may engage in various sports activities, and activities like singing, dancing, theatre etc. The staff is supportive, and the location is safe and emergencies can be handled.
The college has a great experience. Some teachers are really influencial and help students to become better, not just academically, they help in personality development as well. There are many opportunities to pursue extra curricular activities, and everyone should find their interests and have as much experience of the college as possible.
The college had all the necessary infrastructure which were good to use. It was indeed an amazing place to be at with all the necessary equipment that a child requires for his overall development and growth.
I was an Economic Honours student and the faculty and quality of teaching was good. The teachers were very particular about the course syllabus, tests, assignments and ensured that children got a holistic overview.
The placements came from good companies but not as satisfying. The average salary being offered at that time was 4-5 Lakh per annum. However I feel the college did bring companies that could offer good roles.
I did get my value for money out of the course. It was a very comprehensive course with everything told perfectly together to the students. The perfect blend of teaching along with practical experience was worth it all.
The campus life was amazing with a lot of opportunities to avail. The canteen was amazing to enjoy at while the other amenities like auditorium, library were always good. There were all facilities to help the students.
My experience has been great . college is amazing in every sense . There is an atmosphere of respect towards each other in the institution and College other than amazing academics gives you all other opportunities you look forward to . This college has helped me to realise my talent and potential.
I am a BBA graduate from this institution and the faculty is very good . It includes almost every necessary knowledge aspect. The process can be a little more interactive. Teachers are very student friendly and do a lot of efforts.
The college has a decent placements for the students who wish to do job after grad and also amazing placements for students who wish to work after masters. Our college has given placement opportunities to most of the students.
My course.was 35000 per year which was completely value for money which my college gave . Very Nice Roi
Campus life is the best for students personality development and skill enhancement . Support staff is amazing and you get to learn new things. It is amazing for students who are artists or sportsperson. Hygeinic canteen and infrastructure.
The college has matched the standards of my dream and ideal college
Overall good infrastructure provided by the college. Smart classrooms, highly equiped laboratories, digital library, normal library, reading room, medical room, common room, sports room, well structured classrooms and many more.
Best quality of teaching, regular on ground activities are performed for better learning and understanding. Management courses are very well recognised here and this is the best college that comes under Panjab University.
Good placements are done from this college. Companies like Delloite, EY, ICICI Bank, Amazon, HDFC Bank, E-Clerx etc visited the campus and students got good package and good profiles in these reputed companies.
Yes this is a value for money college.
Very nice infrastructure with an experienced faculty and a very supportive staff and teachers too. A safe campus for all the students coming from different places. Many cultural and others clubs related activites are also there for the better learning and growth.
Overall a good college to study and also this is the best institution under Panjab University.
The College infrastructure is Good and well maintained. It has all the necessary requirements like library, digital library, laboratories, a magnificent auditorium, girls common room, well maintained washrooms, Sports facilities etc. We do not have smart classrooms.
It is the Best College for Commerce in North and is affiliated to Panjab University. We've very good faculty, mostly PhDs. Teachers are very helpful, understanding and knowledgeable. We follow Panjab University Curriculum, which is always up to date. I Studied B.Com. and we were taught every necessary thing, required at undergrads, to get us in good internships.
We've a very dedicated Placement Cell. Every year top notch Companies visit the Campus for placements of both undergraduate and postgraduates. In my year, i.e. February 2020,Companies such as Delloit, DeShaw, ICICI Bank, EY etc visited our Campus and offered very good packages to the top students. Not everyone gets placed in undergrads(ofcourse), but all the top achievers and well deserving students were able to crack the interviews.
Being a semi private College, the Course fees for both under and post graduate courses is very nominal. It costed me around 15000rs (approx.) per semester ; excluding hostel. Also need based and merit based scholarships are available.
S.D. College has a magnificent Campus life. Being located in the most prime location, ie. Sector 32, chd. it has access to all the best facilities. The main 32 market, GMCH 32, Sports Complex Sector 46, Bus Stand sector 43&17 are very easily accessible. This sector is also one of the safest ones. Coming to Extracurriculars; there is no time around the clock when something isn't going on. Youth Fests, College Department fests, Sports event, TEDx, SdMUN, Competitions are always buzzing around.
Yes everyone on the management made sure the food is hygienic and the spaces were clean ever day in the morning there were regular cleaning Infact we have been to the place where the food was actually cooked for us , also I have tried food from boys mess as well as girls mess it was nice from all the places which is clean and hygenic
I am already working based on my skills I achieved and developed from the college time which is too helpful The quality of teaching was very good it was more of like teachers were able to concentrate on each and every student
20,000 average salary was offered and for a fresher I think its good I would rate it good Since being a graduate from this college has given me always good perks in every terms as it not only focuses on intellectual growth but also the over all growth
33000 per year fees charged and it was quite genuine Yes I feel the worth given by my college for every single day
I had my best college days and everyone like teachers , the staff and students were coordinative in every term
I have lived the best days of my life in these 3 years of my college and I am very thankful to them I have not only grown and outshine in terms of academic also I have made outstanding remarks in extra curriculum
Infrastructure facilities like library, reading room , auditorium everything is exceptionally well. Sport center is available. Hostels have all the necessary facilities . Living space and food is hygienic.
Curriculum is good but some practical knowledge can be added to it. Too theoretical. Teachers are well educated and teaches well . Commerce is more of practical stream and the syllabus is not much updated .
Quality of placements is fine . Not many companies visit the campus. Highest package is offered to bcom students. Highest package is around 18 lac. Placement process is simple. College supports the students.
It costed 30,000 per year . Money's totally worth it .
The infrastructure was good. Class rooms were good and department buildings were also in very good condition. Canteen area was also great. The playground/ ground are was not quite good as it never maintained.
I’ve done bachelors of business administration from there. It was a great experience. The teachers were very supportive and nice. The institute is famous for its academics as we’ve also witnessed this ourselves.
As we had done graduation only, we weren’t looking for placements. So can’t really describe about the placements. Overall I’ve heard about placements is that they are just average when it comes to placements. Can’t say much.
Our course cost was ₹30000 per year. It was quite economical if compared to other colleges with same status. My whole graduation cost was less than 1 lac, so we can say our 3 years of experiences were worth more than what we paid for.
Campus life was just awesome. We had various clubs to join, events to participate and volunteer in, activities group such as dance, modelling, theatre and sports. Overall the campus life is just awesome.

As far as the academics is concerned some teachers often come late and some of the teachers don't teach properly but there are also sincere teachers who teach properly and finish the syllabus properly.
The fees is low of this college and this college has good return on investment. Only 25k is charged per year as tuition fee.
