Government College at Mananthavady is a renowned college located in Wayanad, Kerala. Merit-based admission policy is implemented in the college in its various postgraduate and undergraduate programs. Admission is constructed on an equal opportunity basis given to meritorious students on the basis of courses.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Com: The strength of the B.Com course of Government College, Mananthavady is 40 seats. The admission process is merit-based with consideration given to the candidate's performance in the 10+2 exam along with higher weightage given for extracurricular activity and achievement.
BA English Language and Literature: There are 24 seats available for this course. The admission process focuses on the academic record of the candidate in the qualifying examination, particularly the English subject, and computation of the index mark total.
BA Development Economics: It has 24 seats and is admitted to on a similar basis as other BA courses. Students with a strong background in economics or related subjects at 10+2 can stand a chance.
B.Sc Electronics: The college accepts 24 students for this course. The admission is based on the performance of the candidate in physics, mathematics, and chemistry at the 10+2 level and the overall index mark.
M.Com Finance: The intake for this postgraduate programme is 20 students. Admission will be given based on the performance of the candidate in his/her bachelor's degree, preferably commerce or related subjects, and the computed index mark.
MA English: The intake capacity of 20 seats for this programme considers the performance of the candidate in his/her bachelor's degree, especially in English literature or related subjects, and the total index mark.
MA Development Economics: The postgraduate program also has 20 seats in it. The process of admission evaluates the performance of the candidate's bachelor's degree, particularly in economics or related fields, and the index mark calculated.

For getting a seat in MA economics you must have Bachelor's degree in any discipline from recognized University.
You must have 60% or 1 St division or equivalent CGPA in any UG or PG degree in any subject along with clearing the entrance marks with minimum qualifying marks set by University or college.
Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for general category and 36% for OBC.
