UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Dear applicant out of the College options chosen by you, both the colleges are wise considering their academics. But when it comes to D Y Patil Akurdi Institute the Placement scenario after COVID is poor. Whereas Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad has impressive placements of Computer Science Engineering branch, not only that this Institute has maintained reputed position as per faculty records and Lab maintenance. You will get sophisticated facilities, starting package of placement you can expect as 5-6 LPA.

Hello,
Candidates taking the CDS 2021 test must have finished their graduation or at the very least be taking their degree's final exam. It's vital to note that CDS admit cards are only given out to candidates who meet all of the requirements.
Academies | CDS Educational Qualification |
---|---|
Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) | Graduation from a recognized university |
Indian Naval Academy (INA) | An engineering degree from a recognized university/institute |
Air Force Academy (AFA) | Bachelor of Engineering or Graduation (with Physics and Mathematics at Class 12) |
At the time of the SSB interview, candidates who are in their final year/semester of a degree programme must produce an authentic certificate of passing the degree issued by the University/College. The date of issuance should be included on the degree certificate, and the date of issue must be before the UPSC deadline. If they don't, their candidacy will be revoked.
Candidates who have been forbidden from holding any form of commission in the Defence Services by the Ministry of Defence are not allowed to sit for the test.
Hope this helps.
Hi Aspirant,
The placement of both the colleges is not that great. However VESIT provides placements in comparison to GECA to some greater extent.Almost 60 percent of students get placed in IT companies and only 10-12 percent in core companies.. Accenture is the top recruiter of the college followed by Capgemini and LTI. The salary package stays between 7-3.5 LPA.Faculties and infrastructure are almost same according to me.
Hope it helps!!
Hello Rajesh
Answering to your question, I would like to say that yes, you are definitely eligible for Information Technology. You can get your degree from any recognized college or university that accepts a cut-off mark matching to your marks.
Eligibility:
10+2 from any recognized board or university.
Set by AICTE, the minimum marks that should be scored is 50% for General category students, and 45% for reserved category students.
However, you must know that many recognized private institutes have their own eligibility criteria, wherein you are required to have only pass percentage.
You can check the courses and their minimum eligibility criteria below:
BE/BTech in IT : Candidate must pass class 12 in the Science stream with PCM or PCMB from a recognized board or university. Computer Science as a subject in HSC will be advantageous.
BCA : Candidate must pass class 12 in Science stream with PCM or PCMB, or Commerce stream, or any other equivalent from a recognized board or university. Computer Science as a subject in HSC will be advantageous.
BSc in IT : Candidate must pass class 12 in Science stream with PCM or PCMB, or any other equivalent from a recognized board or university. Computer Science as a subject in HSC will be advantageous.
MTech in IT : Candidate must complete BE, BTech, or MSc in any relevant branch from a recognized board or university.
MCA : Candidate must have pursued a Bachelor's degree course of minimum 3 years time span in BCA or B.Sc. IT along with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or graduate level.
MSc in IT : Candidate must have pursued a Bachelor's degree course of minimum 3 years time span in BCA or B.Sc. IT along with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or graduate level.
Hope this was helpful!

Hello,
How can you get a college through rank basis as counselling is already completed. You can only go through direct admission if allowed. The colleges keep some seats reserved for direct admission.
For direct admission you don't need any rank or any entrance exam. You will get an admission easily. There are colleges which take 12th marks as the basis for selection. But it is not mandatory always.
You can take direct admission in any college (if it has the facility). Government colleges don't have this facility so you have to go for private college.
For more details you can visit the site:- http://geca.ac.in/home.aspx
Hope it helps!
Hey!There
Placement record of government engineering college, Aurangabad is decent.Mostly IT sector companies used to visit for recruitment..If you are stream of core stream then you have to look for GATE,ESE,CAT because placement record of core stream is not Soo good. Some private core companies used to visit and recruit few students with pay package of around 4-5lpa.If you are interested in IT sector companies then you can easily get package of around 3.5-4lpa..
Ask if any query.
GOOD LUCK!

Hi Nisha,
You have a decent rank but i suppose what you have mentioned is your category rank which could be a bit too high for GCE Katihar. To be honest the trend change every year so may expect a seat for yourself but you might have to compromise with the branch. You might not be able to fetch yourself the top branches.
Good Luck !!
Hello,
You have good rank to get an admission. you can get an admission at dharbhanga or at Katihar. You will get so many options to get an admission to. so select one which you find suitable for you and your mark.
Chances are high so you should apply for the mentioned colleges.
Hope it helps!
College campus is very good. There are many facilities like a neat and clean mess, etc. The food served is good. Hostel rooms are good. The management of the hostel rooms is great. Bathrooms are always clean, and the gallery is also neat. Computer labs are also good .
The college infrastructure is so good . And the college provides all the facilities like classrooms with good equipment , labs which are well maintained and well equipped with good quality , canteen also .
If u talk about campus then it is not big it is looking like avarage but building of the institution is big and hostel is also good of boys as well as girls.facalties are awesome all teachers are best .
