Government Degree College, Drang or GDC Drang is a new government teaching institution established in the year 2006 in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is an affiliated college at village-Jundhar, Mandi; this college has got accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). GDC Drang is a campus spread over an area of 25.26 acre and provides a number of undergraduate programmes to its 476 students enroled there. The college possessing 16 committed teachers offers 15 courses in 4 degrees in Arts, Commerce & Science streams.
The college is determined to make sure that it creates a right environment for learning. GDC Drang has library in its building having 3,100 books and four government magazine with accommodation of 25 students at a time but has the capacity to expand the number of students gracefully. The Science and Geography departments have well equipped laboratory facilities, which includes five practical class rooms. To meet modern education requirements, the campus is equipped with Wi-Fi so the students and faculty members can use any additional materials containing in Internet at any place on the campus. The college has also a separate auditorium and a seminar hall for organising events and academic debates.
At present, GDC Drang is offering 15 undergraduate courses and they are all full time programmes. It awards programmes such as the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). The total student admissions for all courses have been provided at 476 and yet specific course capacities differ by a remarkable margin. B.Com course has only 60 seats while many B.A and B.Sc specialisation have 80 seats each. Examples of specialisation offered by the college include Zoology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Hindi, History, Geography, Sociology, Economics, Music, English, Physical Sciences, Life Science, and others.

Government Degree College, Drang admit students based on the merit system alone. Future learners are admitted based on their performance in their exit or qualifying tests. This approach allows credit worthy candidates to enrol in their preferred courses.

The infrastructure is very normal.The college has basic facilities. The classrooms and library are okay, but some things like the labs need improvement. It would be better if they had more modern equipment.
